Hey everyone, I’m searching for a 2016 post-HoT keybind setup. Yes, I’ve Googled lots but I just wanna know more opinions before I formulate my keybindings. I’ve experimented with a lot but I haven’t found any that seems to utilize everything with ease.

Just my own since I’ve started the game :

1 → F
2 → shift + F
3 → E
4 → R
5 → shift + R
6 → <
7 → mouse 4
8 → mouse 5
9 → shift + E (usually my TP move so I can shift + E and quickly validate with a click)
0 → A

F1 – X goes to 1 – X instead.

ZQSD to move (azerty keyboard).

But it’s my own thing and I mainly play elem so I don’t bother myself with weapon swaps which I mostly kitten up on other professions due to the button being close to the heal.

1,2,3,4,5,6 weapons + heal,
Q E R C Utilities + Elite,
Mouse 3,4,5 Class special mechanics + target acquire
v dodge (no doubletap)
b promote target (dont forget to change this from ctrl+t in pvp promoting targets is crucial)

Just a note: Im playing piano and i have long fingers so u might want to change heal skill bind

skills: awr, 4 extra mouse buttons, zxb. not in that order
class skills: q234 …and N. I don’t play engi. amd 5 is already used

A game shop or Ebay…

It massively improves gameplay and if you have bad/injured hands it’s still mostly useable because most of the buttons are mapped to a thumb grid and you barely need to move the thumb to reach all the buttons. 3 buttons (click down, click left and click right) on the mouse wheel and 2 below it, left click and right click and the 1-12 thumbgrid..

so my mapped keys are:
1-5 on the grid
swap weapon is 6
7-9 on the grid
F1 is scroll click
f2-f4 is mapped to 10/11/12 on the grid.
Heal and Elite are the 2 buttons under the mouse wheel.
clicking mouse wheel left is F5.
Clicking mouse wheel right is enemy target tabbing.

You can play the game one handed with these things if you have too.

Left click – activate skill
W – forward
S – backward
A – turn left
D – turn right

I’m on an azerty keyboard:

a → strafe left
z → forward
e → strafe right

1,2,3,4,5 → as usual
mouse wheel, utility #1
mouse extra button 1 → utility #2
mouse extra button 2 → utility #3
F → heal skill
R → elite skill
C → dodge
V → stow
Tab → select next enemy

I find shift uncomfortable so I use alt + 1,2,3,4 for f1,f2,f3,f4 and alt+x for f5 ( Kitten mesmer’s shatters…)

I don’t have an MMO mouse just a Logitech performance MX that has hidden buttons all over it that I reprogrammed. Even if you don’t have some fancy mouse, if you got a decent one there are likey quite a few you can reprogram through its software. I got mouse wheel click(auto run), left tilt(f1) and right tilt(f2), thumb button lower(f5), thumb button forward/backward (my strafe keys), thumb button zoom(my interact key).
