I am getting sick of them, the chill is just shutting me down on ele and revenant, and there are about 2-3 reapers on most teams I am facing right now. So what is the best way to deal with teams with lots of reapers right now?

condi cleanse or transfers?

Power Druid /ranger tends to counter them decently due to the large amount of ranged damage & CC they have.

Druid a bit more so cause of the added sustain they have as well.

Other then that,

Dragonhunter can if played well (though against a condi reaper or one made to convert boons to conditions your SOL) (base guard just gets butsecksed by them and most other stuff nowdays)

alchemy/X/Scrapper can as well due to the amount of burst, sustain & CC they bring.

So can most any mesmer spec if played well.

Just don’t try to go into melee with one if they have a decent chunk of life force & a greatsword unless you have some major CC options. The burst they have is among the highest in game.

Daredevil by far if its a 1v1. Thankfully Daredevils/Thieves are almost extinct after 3 years of never being outside the meta. Lets hope it stays this way.

Cuz spinning with GS on warrior waiting for lucky crit is better for “skill matchup”

What kills reaper? Every class that can CC/Outrange them. DH can just YOLO spam traps and win with everlasting blocks/knocks

Mallyx Revenant if Reaper isn’t careful with corrupts. This becomes dominance if there’s any allied NPC/minion/player near Revenant, as they give him even longer Resistance.

Ele diamond skin against condi reapers (and most condi builds) if the ele isnt a braindead player (which are common here) and kite your schyte/Spin2Win

Not so much “class” as “tactics.” Outside of shroud, Reapers are still very vulnerable to CC. Also, staying outside of 600 range reduces their ability to do anything notable to you drastically, as their shroud, shouts, dagger, warhorn, and greatsword don’t extend beyond that (except GS5, which is only to 750). Basically, outside of 600 range, they can’t hard CC you.

im maining my reaper and i can say i dont realy have issues againts anything.
i feel like a 1 man army that is almost unkillable while also doing 12k dmg left and right with pleathora of crits left and right in Soilder gear lol.

yep mesmer prety much can faceroll a reaper.
and i mean totaly faceroll a reaper.
Mesmers can make me feel useless lol.
a reaper can MAX annoy a mesmer but thats it….

Unless it’s a condi Mesmer. Then the Reaper has such a massive advantage it’s not funny.

Of course, that’s true with condi builds into Necros in general.

Reapers are very strong into virtually all match-ups.
