Yo guys, how you doing?

Was looking to get into the game again and pickup a class with a lot of tricks, mobility, and decent survivability to keep things fresh and interesting.

I get bored easily with straight forward builds, so the more intricate (reasonably) and skill reliant I would appreciate.

I have an engineer at 37 (deleted my max level one a long time ago for character space, yeah, dumb.) is that a good one to roll?

Or is rogue, elementalist, or such a better option?

If you have good GW2 PVP knowledge go for Elemantalist but if you are new stay away from it.

The easiest class to learn PVP in GW2 is warrior (META GS/Hammer/Rampage will do think), put soldier amulet on it and experiment next would be I would say soldier amulet Engineer.

Warrior or Necromancer are both easy and very effective while Thief and Elementalis both require skill. Engieneer, depends of build, could be one of the hardest class in the game but if you play it with only one kit it’s not that hard but less effective.

To start with i recommend Warrior with Knight amulet for better defensiveness, GS + Mace/Shield or GS + Hammer. You can also be very effective as GS + LB.
Necromancer is probably the king of surviving, if you are pretty new to the game.
If you don’t want to be one shoted stay away from Thief
