So, what do we do with our tons of incomplete-recipe-making materials? With 43 glory left, I don’t think I can buy the 1-2 components I need per recipe for gear I don’t already have. And even trying to power through them in the last few weeks before Glory was removed, I still have over 100 Glory Boosters. Using them now is.. kinda pointless, unless they were to grant a 50% Rank Point boost (which they don’t, as of today).

… And that brings me to another point. Are players expected to salvage any extra gear (i.e, an Arcing Blade in your Locker when you already have an Arcing Blade on a character), or will there be some compensation for lost gear?

In short.. what do we do with our leftovers?

Same thing you did with your glory boosters – absolutely kitten all.

Be nice if we could at least trade them in for rank points or something.

I would love answers to these questions too. I have crap loads of PvP crafting materials but, with the removal of honor, I can’t really buy Arcane Converters or Consumable Tokens to make them into something useful.

It would be really nice if they just removed the Converters or Tokens from those recipes.

It would also be really nice if Glory Boosters were converted into Reward Track Boosters. PvE’ers benefit from Food/stat boosters, XP, Magic Find, Gold Find, WvW xp, Karma, and Strength boosters. Without Reward Track Boosters, PvP’ers will literally only have Magic Find….

Or at least let us buy item tokens for gold. I didn’t spend my glory immediately, so was able to use up a fair amount of my mats, but I did use up the remaining glory I had after that on some mystery coffers. Then on one of my last salvages.. bam.. some more mats that would allow me to try for the item I was unsuccessful at getting earlier. But nope, can’t try as I’ve no glory left to buy the item token.

I agree with the thought of a vendor- they do it with obsolete PVE Living World items, why not for our PVP mats? Trade in your old stuff for something that works. Armor, weps… anything.

Everybody had more than enough time to adjust.
If you have excess materials – as almost everybody else – keep them or delete them.
Won’t make a difference.

Matisse, even so, many, many players are stuck with extra materials.

Perhaps it will not, but it would be nice to be able to use them for something, anything right now and/or after the April Update.
I crafted all I could and spent my glory on tokens, and I was still left with a poopton of extra mats and no glory at the end of it all.

Arcane Converters and Consumable Tokens purchasable with gold sounds amazing!

Agree 100% with this…

After crafting out all my item tokens and spending all my glory I have the following mats (currently useless and valueless):-

902 – Dust
516 – Orbs
133 – Crystals
115 – Slivers
2 – Rabbit Tokens
16 – Deer " "
65 – Dolyak " "
172 – Wolf " "
45 – Tiger " "

Sure would be nice to have something constructive/positive to do with them, even if just a gold exchange at a minimal rate?

Didnt they somewhere say all the pvp mats would become grey items (sellable junk)?
I am not sure though.

Anet have already answered this, all those excess material will vanish, be deleted on the 15.4.14.

All skins will be moved to the new wardrobe, from wherever they are now, so you can access them whenever you want, but after use charges to apply your look. Those charges are going to be fairly easy to aquire by doing the new reward system.

Everyone has had plenty of notice on all of this 3-6 months, its your own fault if you did nothing…

But only a very small percentage of Gw2 players visit the forums actually received notice through it. The majority just logs on and play without realizing new patch notes.

So no, most players were not aware of these changes and anet didn’t make any effort to let players know ingame either. Anet is just a joke of a company but at least you know what to expect from their future products.

How is it my fault?

Consumable tokens always costed 200 glory , it was non-economic spending the glory to make

glory + blue powder = non-sellable dye

when you could spend 90% of your glory for gifts at the time, then the rest which u made later on was better spent on some 20x lv-up books or mystic coffers.

I have several 1000x powder and 250x sliver , but cant buy the consumable tokens. *It was same with salvage kits, during events it was WASTE of MONEY to salvage at , so you just didnt open chest or destroyed 99% of it. Please allow us to make use of the materials we SPENT HOURS CLICKING.

Useless rewards that, turn into even more useless stuff, that you have to spend hours of just clicking through…

If the problem isnt solved, as elegantly as salvage kits for few copper, then it would have been better for them to say a few months ago:

“hey, the chests u have are worth 0, and the stuff it gives will be remowed. Just destroy them when u have 250x , dont bother with it.”

I think this isnt the right approach, again, we got some gold and kins for glory, let us have some colours for playing and winning tournament matches.

My problem is, that I think it is even impossible to use up your mats.

Given e.g. this amount of mats:

After crafting out all my item tokens and spending all my glory I have the following mats (currently useless and valueless):-

902 – Dust
516 – Orbs
133 – Crystals
115 – Slivers

172 – Wolf " "
45 – Tiger " "

Sure would be nice to have something constructive/positive to do with them, even if just a gold exchange at a minimal rate?

Let’s say, consumable tokens would be purchaseable for gold and you wanted to craft dyes. Just for using up all your arcane silvers, you would already need 113*10 =1130 Arcane dust.
And than you are still stuck with huge amounts of orbs and crystals.
Not to mention, that for transforming orbs & crystals into silver, you still would need dust.

They didn’t just give us any kind of compensation, the rates in which you get those mats from slavage are so disproportional, that it is absolutly impossible to use the majority of them up.

I started yesterday to craft dyes, in order to use up my mats. But in the end, I had even more arcane orbs, than when I started crafting.
The reason for this is, that I constantly run out dust, so I had to open more chests and slavge the items. However, I this also increased the general amount of orbs etc.

^^^Everything ends is spot on…it was always impossible to use up all your mats.

After I had used all my glory up getting as many skins/dyes as possible I still had loads of crafting materials left over.

That’s just the way it is, they will disappear on the 15.4.14 and soon be completely forgotten about, no big deal.

It is a big deal. This stuff is part of the hundreds of hours of PvPing many players did. The PvE equivalent would be if everything you got from salvaging exotics/rares was suddenly gone. The effects would be earth shattering.

Also, the MASS majority of players don’t constantly keep up with developer streams, patches or the forums. There are STILL people in the Mists asking why they’re not receiving Glory.

I don’t understand how people can be AGAINST this?! It’s just more options.

P.S. I think making Arcane Converters purchasable with gold would help a lot with spending the majority of everyone’s Mats. Where did the dev’s say PvP Mats were getting deleted?!

There are many solutions to this problem, and they don’t seem like they would require a lot of work on the devs’ part. So.. what’s the deal? Are they just ignoring err’ybody?

I made most of them into the unidentified dyes.
Anet need to allow us to by mystic forge token for a penny of gold investment just like the salvage kit
