Is there something wrong with me as a player?
There is no easy way of telling this as it is to a bunch of strangers. We are taught to be critical about everything being said and done and in the end noone cares at all.
So why do I feel the urge to tell this now..even when expecting the reponse to be divided.

Gw 2 has been an emotional rollecoaster. My first main in this game was thief and never looked back. Only the last 6 months that Ive been playing thief, engie and necromancer. Right now I feel like I dont have a main…
When I log on now its mostly a feeling of “What do I do now, and what do I play?”.
When I play pvp games I seem to get people on my team that has no intention of playing the objective but rather offpoint or charge right into a 4v1. No matter what I type, how I explain things it falls apon deaf ears. Right now solo Q is a living hell filled with premades and experimental players coupled with fresh players that refuse to utter a single word.
My passion used to be playing, crafting gear. Theorycrafting and putting that theorycrafting to life by killing players. Right now I feel out of touch with myself. With the game. Iam starting to really see the underlying issues in guild wars 2 and how it is so. Why haven’t they fixed ranger pets yet? And why is it the moment a pet actually does something it gets nerfed hard? But why arent other professions equally nerfed?
And why arent some professions equally buffed??
Guild wars 2 used to be about timing your dodges. Right now it doesnt matter because every profession has several abilities which will interupt, stun, daze and knock you down. This become clear when facing full premades who is really going for as unkillable build as possible. I dont understand what the game wants to do anymore.
Is it all about as much burst as possible? Then what is celestial amulet for?
But its to stop people being bursted. Then why don’t they reduce the overall damage?
They keep increasing the damage abilities of some of the strongest professions out there and you have two options. Either you throw every survival utility on your bar, or you get yourself the celestial amulet, or cleric, or settler.
In the end build variety is killed off because certain professions NEED a certain weapon type and 2/3 utility skills. We have become so ungulfed in the meta that we are actually harassing players from playing a certain profession.
“Oh necromancer, worst in PvE”
“Two mesmers in one battleground? Might aswell go afk”
“Two thieves in one battleground? Might aswell lose right now”.
“Two elementalists, sure let every tournement team have two of these”.
Why are some professions still broken. Why are some mechanics still broken?
We have had beta tests for how long now? And most definetly they must have had inside testers?
Then how is it acceptable at all for some professions to be anywhere from 4-15% better, maybe higher then other professions? What is so hard about balancing this game?
And you as a community! We are suppose to be together. As one big messed up family. To hold developers accountable for what is happening to our game.
Pure whining posts need to go, instead we need constructive posts where we as a community go together and adress issues in a polite manner instead.
Is it because no matter how much time and effort someone puts into a post its gonna drown and become old news within a day and noone will remember it and devs would have never seen it?
To arenanet.
Thank you, your game is a coin with two sides. Its amazing, breathtaking.
Broken, unbalanced. You actually need to listen to your community.
You need developers to say something, anything. We are left in the dark here.
Come on! Talk to us! What is going on, are you gonna fix this, are you gonna fix that? What are we to expect? And how come it has taken SO long!.
I talked to a female streamer yesterday after mentioning the cool new pets.
And I said, you do know the pets are broken right? And she went
“Naah, they are not broken. They are amazing, and even so arenanet would fix that fast”.
