Hi all,
This is my first post. Maybe this might sound stupid or maybe it has been discussed already. My question is what does PVP rank means now? In other way, what a lvl 80 can do differently than a lvl 1 ? I understand that higher ranks will be rewarded better items when they go to the next rank. But other than that what are the things that are connected to the rank? Before the patch, there was glory and there were lvl based vendors so the lvl made more sense . Can someone please explain what it means now?

Besides of the finishers, nothing.
Some / a lot of players still connect a players rank to his skillleve, but that’s it.
Initially, ANet wanted to remove ranks on april 15th, but the resistance of the playerbase was so high, they decided to keep them.

rank means time spent playing also experience. it was never the base of skill like others trying to imply.

No offence pal, but you came up with the basic explanation of what a ‘Rank’ means.

But what is the use of it if a player can’t

1) Do things based on that level
2) At least show the level to other players since they removed it from the sPvP score board.

At this point rank seems to me as just a number that I only can see. I am not complaining and as a hardcore PVP player, I really appreciate the way ANet buffed the PVP rewards . I’m Just trying to find out if there is anything out there that’s connected to the PvP rank or if they have any future plans with it.

Completely removing it was the original idea, so I wouldn’t expect anything but what actually is.
