Q:
Hi all!
I am loving the sPvP, but i have a question: what is PvP gear? There ain’t any stats on any of the gear, so why should i use the gear i get in PvP Reward Chests? Why should i even buy the Reward Chests? Is there something unique at each different piece of armor, or are they all the same? Also: i have heard that you could salvage it, but what do i get from that and how do i even do it? I am not able to use my regular salvage kits on it.
Thank you in advance

The PvP gear just looks different. You can use a PvP salvage kit to gain PvP materials that you can use in the Mystic Forge to have a chance at the type of gear you want. You should be able to find a list of recipes fairly readily on Google, as well as what each type of gear looks like, if you want to plan ahead.
It offers you no advantages in-game, though.
They are without stats because there are no runes on them – you can purchase various runes at the npc who is selling weapons or armor, just press on the second item list icon when trading with him.
In sPvP most of your stats come from your amulet/jewel. Runes on your armor (plus their natural defense stat) are the only stats you gain from your actual armor.

Yeah i know that, and that was the reason i was confused with the different types of armor. Thanks
Have a nice day!
