Question in title, neiter google or forum search gave me an answer. But I’ve seen this cap mentioned a few times now.

There is no cap, where did you hear that? There is a maximum number you can achieve though, 12 divinity runes + 30 in the right traitline + berserker amulet/jewel = 62 critdmg + certain traits that give it temporarily (i dont think that there are many that do).

Cant find the thread but I have seen it mentioned a few times. More specifically a cap only existing in PvP. I found it odd, but thought I’d ask. You are probably right that there is no cap.

there isn’t an actual cap, but there is a cap relative to wvw/pve because you can’t get rings and whatnot to add to your critical damage.

I thought the cap in pvp was 50%
This can be tested of course.

62 is the highest base you can go. It can go higher though. Warrior with Axe Mastery and Banner of Discipline for example is 87.
