So Legendary weapons are obviously prettier, but the stats are significantly lower.

For example: the legendary rifle I can get from the weapons vendor in the mists is beautiful, but the strength is set @ 125.
The simple and not so pretty looking exotic rifle I can get from the PvP vendor in the mists is 986 – 1205 strength.

I sincerely want an answer to this question. I’ve used both and I have even received the Top player glory award while using the legendary weapons which are lower stats.

There must be some kind of benefit to the Legendary weapons, otherwise – why are they available in the mists?

The steady weapons are for testing DPS on your build. They have no variance in their power.

You went into matches with steady weapons?

Yes, and I even got Top Player.

They are used to test new ideas in the mists, solo. They have a 1 to 1 damage because they are meant for theory crafting. The damage you do doesn’t RNG all over the place, so you know what works before you enter the matches.

LOL, I’m such a noob. So I’m gonna switch weapons to the Exotics and see how that goes.
Shaking my head…I’m such a girly girl…choosing the pretty weapons.
