What is the main objective of playing sPvP ?
Well Anet probobly thinks that most people play for fun and use what they think is fun, so they appeal to this community by giving them what they want, its communities fault not Anets.
You say yourself that you played decap engi, and attitude like that only promotes anets support toward decap engi, cause obviously people play it.
The point of pvp? Since tpvp ladder and matchmaking are broken and soloq is even worse i guess it’s rank progression…oh wait…

I played decap engi just to make the experience.
Sure if the players get an I win button they will use it. But the other player will not having fun. And the player itself could have more fun with other builds without the I win button.
I have a 9 month old daugther. If she gets a piece of paper she eats it and has fun. Some hours later she is crying because of stomach pain.
If I take the piece of paper before she is able to eat it, she is crying.
My task is to entertain her so she has maybe even more fun without the rist of stomach pain.
This is what ANet should do. Watch out that we are not get the piece of paper. And if we have it, take it away from us.

It’s funny how before the announcement, no one cared about your rank. Suddenly when casual like myself get dragon it becomes an issue.
I’ll keep stating this so it can be drilled into your heads
If I played the game knowing I would never reach rank 80 in the lifetime of gw2 simply because I can’t play more than 2 hours a day… how is it any different for me when I reach rank 80, I will still play PvP even though I am capped out.

High ranked players always had care of their rank, let alone 90% stupid sh farmers who just stopped at r50 for bear (Since 60 was still pretty unreachable even with farming alone) so more rewards for them too …they are simply going to get cheated while everyone with half their time spent in pvp are going to get their same rewards. It like getting a legendary in pve and right after you got it anet puts it in the gem shop for 100 gems aviable for everyone just because random scrubs don’t want to spend time to get it the legit way, wouldn’t you be a bit kittened? (Considering r60+ takes an immense amount of time more than crafting a crap legendary in pve) I just hope them to do the same in pve with something you worked really hard for it…so you’ll get how it feels eventually. Or just dunno…cap max gold to 2k and everything you have over those 2k just goes into trash. Would you like it? You know capping max gold would bring more casuals to pve cause prices are so high for new players right now, it would be a good sacrifice, you should think about game’s health not your gold you worked for…right? I would like too see all those turds defending this crap in this situation…

That would be true if everyone would be equally good at this game, there are people who are useless without this “IWIN” button, if they cant do anything at all they dont play PVP at all and people who dont know how to outplay these “IWIN” button users dont stop playing they just get their own button.
People who only play warrior werent doing PVP at all, now there are load of warriors PVPing and those who cant beat warriors just join them.
Majority of people enjoy winning more than playing something thats harder but more fun, sad but true.
No point in playing for rank cause skyhammer farming
No point in playing for high caliber pvp cause lolnonexistantproscene
No such thing as prestige cause you get rank points for losing and being high ranked means all you did was invest time. (GW1 didnt give you nothing if you lost fyi. You had to actually, you know, win)
No such thing as skill in GW2 so even without ranks theres no bragging rights cause my sb autoattack will kill you. spam 111111111111 and watch 25 stacks of bleed ez
So really what do you play PvP for? Cause it’s fun playing with your friends? You could watch paint dry with your friends and it would be entertaining. But it’s not the paint keeping you entertained.
