I’m not a die-hard “NEED TO GET TO THE TOP” leaderboard player, but I do enjoy working my way up and progressing through it. This is more of a complaint on my end rather than a “take them off so I can move up” statement. Obviously my skill will move me up.

However, aside from that, I know I’m not the only one who thinks there are major flaws in the leaderboard. Of course skill is not seen 100% through your rankings, though these things need to be fixed…

1. Remove anyone from the top 1000 that hasn’t played XXX amount of games. I don’t understand why people who are 8-4, 7-5, 12-6, etc.. are on there. Sure, they are alt accounts for those that are already high, but I find it extremely abusive to the system by giving those that just log in to play 15 games and never get on that account again, a spot in the top 1000 (heck, top 100 if you look at it). They will never log in to those accounts to play tpvp games again.. which brings me to my next point..

2. Seeing as they never have to log in to those accounts again because of the awful system put in to play with players dropping out over time, they can just leave them there. I have a few friends who are in the top 100 that have not been in a tpvp match for MONTHS. I understand you want to “preserve them” and “let them keep their spot because what if they take a 6 month long vacation”, but that’s a video game.. you can’t allow players to not take action and keep their spot.

Perhaps I’m viewing it all wrong and have the wrong idea about how it works… but that’s just how I see it.

TL;DR – Remove people from the leaderboard that haven’t played XXX games. Remove people who the leaderboard faster who are inactive with tpvp.

The decay system actually works, but it’s just very slow. Eventually they’ll go out of the boards though if they don’t play.

I think the decay system should work more like SC2. Not playing gets you punished much, much quicker.
