Since there are no more paid tourneys, I assume these armor sets using paid tokens aren’t merely unattainable now.. are they?

I noticed that you still get “paid tournament tokens” when you salvage items obtained from the 1 round tournament =)

Yes, and free tournament tokens from the 3 round tourneys, probably so that we can still create the existing armor. There is no replacement for them now. Maybe it will stay this way, just a change of the name in the future as it is no longer “paid”.

Is there even any difference between the Gold tournament chest from winning the 8 round, and the “Match win chest” from the 2 round?

There are some new items in the game. My guess is that these come from the chests u gain from the 8 team tournaments as these are obviously harder to get.

Something i have been thinking about as well. Why does A-net not provide a list of new weapons and a list of materials we need them to create them.

The Dark Moon Shield, Gargoyle Scythe, the Spears and so on drop from the 1-round-tourney-chests. I have gotten them all except the Scythe.

Edit: Maybe they drop from the 3-round-tourney-chests too, but I know nothing about that.

Thanks for the info. I didn’t get any of them so far. No way for me to find out where i can get them or how i can create them. (Played 8 team tourneys most of the time because my team doesn’t like spirit watch). Got some silver and gold chests from there. No new items.

They should probably just rename the tokens and keep looting the way it is. People will eventually figure out where stuff comes from, but having paid tokens with no paid tourneys is confusing. Instead of Paid/Free just make it gold/silver or something.
