I play GW2 occasionally as a break from FFXIV, which lacks solid PvP. .

Besides the balance issues and last patch, every other PvP game I join someone goes AFK, usually from the start. I’m only a casual player, but I thoroughly enjoy PvP and this completely destroys the experience.

-> Enter queue -> Accept match -> Go AFK..

I don’t remember it being this bad.

Leagues got the babies into the serious “no fun or time wasting” mode.

The player base is still grieving over the loss of their favorite builds

I noticed it too. Nearly every match someone goes afk at spawn, either on enemy or on my team. Regardless whether it is ranked or unranked. I don’t understand such mentality. Why do you queue if you are going to grief your team and afk?

People do it to troll. And since they know ANet is completely fine with it here. They’ll just continue doing inorder to trigger some salt from players in matches.

However it’s been like this in bronze and silver league for the longest time now. And with ANet doing nothing to nip this glaring issue in the bud for 3 seasons now. The game mode has lost most of it’s productive players, to be only replaced by trolls that has been banned or kicked out of other PvP games leagues for reasons of the same nature. This is what you get.

Better enjoy that 4v5 I had to for months. People told me I just had to l2p and carry harder. Maybe you should do the same? Not fun when the issues arrive at your doorstep, because they have no where else to go, ah? You all made this bed, now lay in it. Because no one else does.

And why I dropped out of season 6. Not that I am better than a silver but I liked PvP but loss upon loss from afk’rs on my side and no points if on their side…well pointless. Pun intended :P I see it is getting worse so not going back until somehow it gets fixed….
