What should we expect from future PvP balances?

I’m not sure what you’re trying to show me here, aside from a Dev stating that “we will change something at some point in the future, but we’re not going to tell you what or when.”

bro they said they are waiting for the meta to balance, thats perfectly acceptable, how about you make more constructive posts illustrating what you think should be balanced instead of just giving the middle finger to anet
I think it was fairly balanced, then they nerfed HS simply to respond to unwarranted crying. The move was never OP, and I actually never “spammed” it on my thief. It was a utility skill that was only worth the initiative cost because it also did some decent damage. Now it’s not worth the initiative cost because it does very low damage.
But that’s a different topic. My concern here is not about the HS ability, it’s about the apparently knee-jerk reactionary balancing. If you’re just going to let the most vocal whiners balance the game for you, then PvP in GW2 is going to be a hot mess of unplayability.

i think its belittling to think that arena net is not aware that whiners are prevalent on the forums, and that games in the past have made this mistake. i think htey are too smart to ruin their game by listening to a bunch of baddy whiners.

thieves should not be able to crit somebody with full hp for 6k with one move that is also a gap closer.
and thiefs are still perfectly playable…

Or they made the change due to the ability being far to strong, far to easy to use causing an overly simplistic play style for an already simplistic spec. Maybe, just maybe it was changed because it was in reality to strong. I can see those that would wail a cry over the nerfing of an ability if said ability was the crutch of their class, propping them up far beyond what their normal skill levels should entail.
When you are out numbered, and the situation is hopeless, you have no option-you must attack
whether the ability was too strong or not, there reason for nerfing it was forum outcry. why? cuz the game hasnt been out long enough for the meta to mature, and even without that HS spam specs only dominated the lowest common denominator, the bad player (tho many assume they are above avg). a good player stomped them, it was rolled endlessly in tournament play, and it was near useless in wvwvw, it had ONE area where it worked, and that was hotjoin spvp.
Anet quite simply are responsible for nerfing too soon due to bad players complaints. i HAD faith in them, it is now shaken, tho not completly gone.
and no im not a bad thief that spammed HS, i personally enjoy backstab builds

sorry dude but i only can read to the typical thief that only could kill people with the one bottom spam that teleport him to teh target so he dnt need learn to move and now he cant killing to better players than him.
If one skill is overpower is here on the forums with the cry of people where we can see it.

first it doesnt teleport, it leaps. and lol at arbitrary %, no really its not, not even close, its more hit or miss then that.
