Generally, the purpose of a ranking system is to establish who fights at what caliber. That being said, the system is, generally, used to establish which fighters are worthy, in fact, of fighting each other. To elaborate, if someone is ranked #1, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for that fighter to go a round against the #85 fighter. They are not in the same tier.
So why does that make sense here? If a team is low tier, why are they fighting a high tier? Does any team benefit from this fight? No. Is it frustrating for the lower tier team, and potentially causing some players to not want to PvP? Yes. Is it boring and insulting to the higher tier team? Yes.
Ignoring ranking for the sake of matchmaking defeats the purpose of ranking. Please fix it.

top 100 ppl play realy or not at all and for example if 5 ppl from top 50 want to get in top 10 they team up and join the arena to be a fai game they have to mach up ppl from top 100. Yes but what heppans wen top 100 dont play and then the system moves to top 200 ye but what if they dont play as well, you see where i’m going with this. You have to either w8 alot of time in wich you will grow wise and ask yourself what i’m doing here ?? or you will be teamd up in ufar games not aways against more skild ppl .
There arent many ppl who play pvp and why shuld they with the curent state of the game

nr.1 and nr.85 not being in the same tier is very relative to the pool of players playing the game. If the ladder has 10 000 people on it, I would say that #1 and #85 are in pretty much in the same tier.

Further on, you’re talking like there is always all the 4000 people playing the game at any given moment, so the matchmaking system has all of them at it’s disposal to compose best possible balanced matches. Of course that’s not the case…

One can’t claim that the system is ignoring the ranking for the sake of matchmaking, maybe the matchmaking is just making the best of the given situation. The pool of players isn’t always very rich.

I play soloque in the late evenings and my match-ups are very decent usually.
