On the third day of the season I was briefly #2 on the ladder before losing 36 points in a close game. I proceeded to play tilted soloQ and fell to gold.

-41, I was 1900 something mmr and got queued into a game with a duo of 1230s on my team.

-21 i think but thats after my placement games so my MMr still very volatile. according to anet.

-23. I’m hovering around Gold 3/Plat 1. Its really sad the player base is so small that I can loose 23 rating from a loss at that level.

-49 when my rating still was volatile

That’s pretty insane. I thought they killed off the volatility thing so people couldn’t abuse decay but -49 and even -23 for gold/plat is pretty gg.

Volatility is down but close to the top there are wider gaps in available players.

I’ve probably lost 23 Ish? I think more people’s MMR has settled down and that’s why high gold is getting into top players atm. There are a number of people who shouldn’t have been plat last season due to the number of games requirement and high volatility for not playing. That in turn inflated the number who reached platinum based on beating "gold" players who later fell to bronze.

Losing large mmr at this point is more a failure of the algorithm in dealing with close games and the determination that you were more likely to win based on an overly simplistic comparison of mmr.

I mean right now any game I lose is -35 easily and it’s a stable rating, and +3 as win ezzzz
