I leave the server. Sometimes even if they’re on my team.
You don’t know the frustration of going against two competent mesmers spewing illusions out. Scanning your whole field of view for the real one whilst watching for shatters (which can be juked btw with no telling if it’s a non-mind wrack shatter) in addition to hounding for the real one after a stealth = infuriating.
No I don’t have problems 1v1 as I can beat at least half of them, or maybe they were just bad.
If going against an extra non-mesmer player increases in difficulty linearly, going against n mesmers will be n^2
warrior’s hundred blades? I don’t mind it.
Bunker classes/specs? I can deal.
Uncatchable d/d ele? meh
Thieves gibbing me sometimes? w/e
rangers still sucking? coo
But fighting 2 or more mesmers let alone 1? Oh the rage…

Let me get this straight. You have no problem 1v1 with a Mesmer with over 50% success rate but 1v2 is OP?
What is the point of this thread?
If you play a Mesmer for a little while you wont have nearly as many problems once you revert back to whatever class you are playing now. Seeing a couple Mesmer’s and saying, well im out, will never get you anywhere. People think Guardians, Mesmer, Thieves and Ele’s are these GODS AMONGST MERE MORTALS…they arent, you just need to understand their class, you need to be able to read their build and know what they’re doing.
Its not hard and its what you should be doing if you aim to establish yourself in spvp.
No, I’m not saying they’re OP. Just frustrating in all hell to fight one.
There is no point in this thread besides my rant btw.
I did play mesmer. I can sense the frustration in those I roll over.
actually since the latest patch d/d eles and mesmers pretty much are gods, when experienced pvp’ers have trouble dealing with noobs simply because of the class they playing its serious business..

im sorry but an experienced pvp’er should not have any problems dispatching a noob mesmer or ele regardless of the profession they are running because a noob player cant play a complex profession such as an ele or mesmer to the best of its potential. If your having trouble with noob mesmers and eles you cant call your self an experienced pvp’er.
I can spot a noob mesmer from a mile away and i love showin em how to really use a mesmer by cuttin thru em like a hot knife through butter, same goes for eles. This is because most “noob” players that pick these professions automatically go google glass cannon builds and the wrong spvp gear set up and dnt know how to play a glass cannon the right way.
Easiest kills in spvp…so i dnt understand the QQ’ing
I was in a sPvP against 2 necro that absolutely dominated. However, 2v1 is always difficult. This thread only confirms to me that some people just see mesmer (and other scholar professions) as guaranteed easy kills and get upset when they aren’t. It was the same in GW1.
You take 2 frenzy 100b to the face and tell me warriors aren’t strong either. There’s so many stuns you can break with 40-60 sec cooldown stunbreaks, and the guardian immobilizing you after the stuns as the warriors aoe the crap out of everything doesn’t help either.
Yes, mesmers seem overly strong in making you lose targets constantly while putting out such damage. But mesmer is a terrible class in PvE, and any nerfs that go into PvP must stay in PvP, as they still haven’t realized the mistake of not splitting skills.
Mesmers, thieves, and warriors are just above the rest. Yes, eles can bunker, but a bunker ele can’t kill any semi competent player who chooses to stall or retreat. The former three just pack too much burst.
And ranger pet uptime on targets is still bad.

Exactly
They can be dealt with. But still an anti-fun class to go against. Sure I can deal with a Kassadin, but if its a good one its just plain annoying. Just annoy you to death until you lose focus because that’s just how the class is. A pathetic class where people hide their lack of skill when they Macro Shatter.
I find mesmers the most annoying class to fight by a mile. Not saying they are Op but man are they annoying to fight.
