Hey guys, just wondering when conditions are getting fixed? I haven’t heard anything on the topic but I can only assume that anet is working tirelessly to address the amount of condition abuse going on in PvP at the moment.
Has anyone heard anything? Hopefully it’s at the next quarterly update at the latest!

Unless they’re fine with how conditions are, in which case when should we expect an overhaul of condition resistance and removal traits/skills on classes currently lacking any meaningful way to survive condi comps? Like, as an example, the Revenant?

Hopefully it’s quite soon!

Conditions are fine, stop crying
One build using conditions is this season too powerful, but thats a different topic.
You want to give revenant condi cleanse? Conditions are the only thing making revenant not the total overlord in pvp

Conditions currently are BS… easy as kitten to play and you only need two stats. So its easy to add toughness to the build without sacrificing dmg. Plus, there are tons of traits/runes/skills that convert a % of toughness to condi dmg so you get MORE dmg for adding toughness… cause that makes sense. Bottom line… condis are too easy for being so good. I still vote we go back to the gw1 style condi dmg degen cap.

Edit: oh… AND condi dmg ignores toughness and armor… so the only way to mitigate the dmg is to take a rune which will basically do nothing in the current state of the game or clear… and for many classes clearing the number of condis out there is impossible.

Sigh ….. It is healthy for the game to have diffrent damage types that need different defences ….

Only if they are equal in which case conditions should require 3 stats to hit as hard as power (power, prec, ferocity) and shouldnt ignore toughness/protection and other effects reducing damage, check they dont even care about most op condition ingame weakness.

Do you even noticed how huge difference is between soldier and dire gear in terms of damage? Conditions are no longer “slowly wear your opponent” stuff, they can burst in few sec.

Lets be honest, that whole condi need precision is bs and not true by any means, all condi need is condi dmg stat allowing them to go for whatever they like. There may be some trait like proc burn on crit with engi but sigil of int does it job. 33% chance on crit to cause small condition like bleed? Like who give a kitten about it. Meta is mercenary atm which has 0 precision in it

If you want to hit hard, then you should be glass yourself. Doesnt matter if power or condi. Atm condi has unfair advantage over power. Conditions are not healthy in current state.

There aren’t many condi’s you can apply in the game when the target is evading / blocking and revenant has a ton of that. A good one can evade block and CC most condi classes for 10 seconds which will kill any condi apart from chrono, chrono is the issue not condi.

In fact there are too many ways to simply remove condi without punishment on a lot of classes… Condi will always fluctuate between OP and sub-par as it’s structured now, it’s hard to balance because there’s no way to protect your damage from removal, it should be met in the middle by penalising condi cleanse (but still making it worth cleansing) whilst simultaneously buffing resist so it’s not dealing huge damage (to make up for the change).

Sorry, ‘stop crying’? I was just investigating the possibility of actual balance. Do you just trawl the forums looking for opportunities to right fight and be divisive?

People will always defend the easy thing to play and win with. Just go with what works and wait until Anet nerfs it. Anet has all the numbers, they play their game, and they definitely know what is popular and what isn’t. The reality is that they’re working on a very different timeline since development takes time. It’s impossible to make changes overnight — this isn’t a simple game like Pong with less than 200 lines of code that can be changed overnight.

Much like watching a TV show, or playing a game on the first day it has launched, what we’re seeing TODAY is what the developers and creators were working on months ago. The problems we’re seeing today will not be fixed for a few months.
