When are you going to fix speedhacking anet? It’s been two years already, and even in the first few days of Guild Wars 2, there were already speedhacks and teleport hacks, yet up until now, there’s no end to speedhacking. Do you even care about PvP anet? Do you even care about the gameplay experience of your players? Almost daily, I come across people who are speedhacking, don’t you play your games anet? And here is the worst part; YOU ARE GOING TO RELEASE A MAP WITH CARRIER MECHANICS WHICH SPEEDHACKERS ARE PROBABLY EXCITED TO RUIN. What I am pertaining to is the Stronghold map. Fix the kitten speedhacking plague first before releasing any gimmicky maps christ!

Please edit your post and bring it to a constructive level, otherwise it just gets deleted.

Almost daily, I come across people who are speedhacking, don’t you play your games anet?

1.) I have myself yet not encountered a single person using a speed hack. Are you sure they used a hack and where not just lagging or you just didn’t understood the skills they were using? F.e. someone accused me of teleport hacking a few days ago, because I used ‘Necrotic Traversal’ from the ‘Flesh Worm’ and ‘Spectral Recall’ from the ‘Spectral Walk’.

2.) Regardless of the case, if you encounter a person infringing the rules of conduct f.e. with using a hack, report him ingame and use exploits@arenanet.com with whatever you have to proof it (f.e. video material).

How is that not constructive when I am warning anet about releasing Stronghold without first fixing the speedhacking problem? Ain’t that one of the most caring posts you’ve read. Don’t just read exclamation marks; read the meaning of the posts, no matter the exclamation points.

And you want proof? Oh, I have so many proof. Over a hundred gigabytes of video recordings. Wait, let me just edit the videos. It will take forever to upload all of them.

Be informed, be vigilant. I have many more videos, I have caught more than 15 speedhackers just this past month. Just record suspicious activities, like in Legacy of Foefire, if a warrior with sword/horn and hammer gets to your home first before you do, then there’s something fishy going on, and my suspicions were right and I caught that speedhacker on video recording.

And it’s not enough to “just report” this. What about those who don’t know that speedhacks exists, or those who do not know the tell tale signs of speedhacking, or those who couldn’t record videos because of hardware specs. Plus I’m not being paid by anet to police PvP arenas. That’s the least they can do, go in invisible mode and “patrol” ongoing ranked matches, atleast some of it. But that’s just show effort, token effort. We need an overhaul of the network code, or atleast, put some checks in the system to automatically catch speedhackers so that ‘gamemasters’ (does anet have people who trim and prim the quality of gameplay of the players in a live environment) would look into it quickly. Yes there are those who monitor complaints, but could anet put some people dedicated to monitoring reports of botting coming from PvP (since there are no report options for “hacking” or “cheating”).

That’s a different ranger.

Yeah, both videos look more like lags and not hacks, but who knows, ArenaNet can investigate.
