When can we expect better matchmaking ?
Once the sPvP population increases.
Never.

Dang, I’m usually so much better with my words, I apologize.
I figured I would start talking in pictures because they were worth about 1000 words but these days i would be surprised if people knew 1000 words. So about 100 words seems right.

The matchmaking is probably good atm. But when you dont have enough ppl for the MM to make matches balanced, then you get the really bad matches.

Matchingmaking is not good atm. It stacks one side more the other. Having a bigger pool just masks the flaw more. But a low pool makes it obvious.
The only exclusive skyhammer stream
It was free trail weekend! JUST SAYING!
but yea, overall, matchmaking should be better once population increases ( hopefully with next patch)

I have to agree with Kirito. No matter how big the population, the current method of team allocation will keep producing stacked teams. Why Anet has not adjusted this is anyone’s guess. Baffling, really.
My problem with stacked teams is that it’s not fun to be on either side of the curb stomp. Facerolling new and inexperienced players is not fun, neither is getting absolutely trashed by clearly superior players. I’d wager most PvPers here enjoy close matches the most. If they didn’t, they’d probably be somewhere where gear grind affords them a stat advantage in PvP. The problem is that the current matchmaking very rarely produces games that turn out to be even and thus enjoyable. Heck, most of the time you can predict the match outcome by looking at the rosters before the game starts, the teams are that imbalanced.

Filthy casual, 6k sPvP games
No one can defend this current system. The quality of matches is garbage 50% of the time or more. I would say the average score in most matches is about 500-200 win or lose. It’s a joke its been allowed to go on this long solo q came out almost 2 months ago. I see no reason to believe any kind of fix is inc in the next month at a minimum. Quality of life stuff is killing spvp and A-net is glacial with those types of fixes. How hard can it be to add some kind of thing that randomizes the two rosters that are selected right before the match starts. How it works know is it will grab 5 highly ranked players and then it will grab another 5 who may or may not be anywhere near as highly rated. It needs to take those 10 players and award them as equally as possible between two teams. How can’t they see this? Even if a dev would just address this with there thoughts and what they are thinking about doing to address this would go a long way.

Be fair. They have seen it, and they have said they intend to address it.
Is it fair to be frustrated that it is taking so long? Yes. Absolutely.
Is it fair to blame the Dev team for it? Probably not IMO, but you have the right to make that judgment for yourself.
My perception is that the Dev team has not been given sufficient resources to produce the things that the sPvP community needs in a timely fashion, so my angst is directed at upper management that is essentially invisible to us and probably couldn’t care less (these are the bean counter, business types at NC and possibly A-net as well). They are absentee parents to the kitten children of the tPvP community, and I personally find their handling of this game to be reprehensibly bad business practice for a number of reasons that I won’t even waste my breath on since they will continue to ignore it.
At least the Dev team and even Ally pop in occasionally to show they care and take some fire from the community (even if it is unfair and unwarranted sometimes). I think they have done plenty to show that they understand the majority of the issues that this game has and that they care about resolving them.

That’s the thing that amazes me. The forums have proven over and over that they will always flame every red post, no matter what the content. But the devs still take the time to post. Even posts announcing buffs to weak skills/builds are being flamed, because apparently we want kneejerk balancing now. Of course, we didn’t like it when we got the necro/warrior buffs we asked for either.
On topic, matchmaking in solo queues is always hard. Especially in this game. When was the last time you lost a fair 1v1 to someone ten PvP levels below you? Or 10% of the leaderboard below you? This game is hugely skill-dependent and of course that shows in the matchmaking.
tl;dr unless you have balls of steel, don’t work for a game company. Like Abe Lincoln said, “You can please a few of the people sometimes, but they’ll still write you hatemail.”

This i honestly dont care if i win or lose if ppl i play with in team are frendly and not jerks but when you get team match ups like this it is kinda hard to enjoy the match :/.But i at least think they should add mini rank requirement at like rank 10 so you know ppl will at least know what to do(not like this match thoes 3 followed me for like 30 seconds at the begging)until game gets bigger spvp scene or they somehow change the system.I think it would help a little for the time being.
