When is the balance patch ??
You shouldn’t have too much hope, every balance update brings a lot of QQ.

Balance patch? It’s either When it’s Ready or Too Late.
Still though, don’t get your hopes up that ArenaNet actually fixes a lot of the serious problems. Their balance team is less about balancing and more like throwing things against the wall and hope something sticks.

I feel like if they wait until the league is over to do balancing the game, pvp might die by then
this game’s pvp has gone too far to be fixed
its gotten so broken that any applied fix will cause a massive QQ tsunami by people taking advantage of unbalance to such point that they accepted it as normal
It can be fixed once the causes of the issues are identified and understood, but unfortunately a lot of reworking and even removal of some new things would be necessary, and it comes down to how willing the devs are to flush some of their work down the toilet for the good of the game.

Everything feels so broken, just shows how much the elite spec were rushed out. It’s not even a question of balance at this point, the gameplay is so frustrating it could qualify as buggy. When you try to press a key for 10 seconds but it does nothing because you are interrupted every second it’s not a balance issue, it’s a failure in game design (because of the awful stability changes in this case).
It’s just terrible. You can barely have fun with this. It’s just cheese condi that tick for half your hp, constant interrupts, ridiculous broken game mechanics and balance.
Build variety has been completely eliminated, it’s gone, destroyed, kaput. They said “it’s too soon to tell” when we warned them on this forum they were about to destroy build variety. Well now we’ve all seen it and it’s a massive failure in diversity and therefore balance, thanks for not listening to the feedback of all of us who saw this coming a mile away.

In ranked, i feel like if you don’t run meta build, you’re not going to win…. There isn’t room for other build which means me sad.
I main mesmer, i really enjoy the good old power shatter build. But in ranked games, everyone is just stacking and super tanky (stability, dodge, evade, block, perma protection…), it’s impossible to play power shatter mesmer. The one mesmer build you can take in ranked is bunker mesmer… sigh so much for build diversity

I wouldn’t go that far. They don’t seem rushed, just some seem to have had a lot more time and effort invested than others, and those ones are causing problems - revenant CLASS and chronomancer elite spec.
I would say it’s more of a communication problem. It seems that each elite spec was made without consideration toward what the other elite specs would be and how they may potentially work together. i.e. made without consideration toward balance. It feels like the PvP league season is more of a beta test phase where the players find and raise balance issues for them to fix. The problem with this, of course, players get annoyed, lose faith in the balance team, stop playing. Not to mention that so much work has been done without the necessary consideration, that a lot of things need to be addressed, and in the past ANet hasn’t kept to their promises of significant balance patches, and don’t seem to act on everything the community say. I’m sure they read most of it and act on some, but a lot goes ignored for some reason. Due to this, the community is skeptical toward their new promise of frequent balance patches, and still ever doubtful about the issues they want fixed actually being addressed.

It will just be more buffs to things like passive procs. Maybe now you get all 6 trait lines! Hurray. And probably be some other change like. Now you can’t move in HOTM whilst you queue. Or they removed ranks.

Oh I’m all too familiar with how they have balanced in the past. I main thief, after all.
I’m hoping for a pleasant surprise while preparing myself for something typical like...
- Back stab: Reduced damage by 20%
- Vault: Reduced damage by 33%
- Infiltrator’s Strike: Immobilise duration increased by 0.25s
- Infiltrator’s Return: This skill has been removed
- Reveal: Changed to 3s and is no longer split in PvP and PvE/WvW
- Black Powder: This skill no longer produces a smoke field
- Bountiful Theft: Vigor from this trait has been removed
- Daredevil: Now gives 2 extra endurance bar segments instead of 1
- Last Refuge: This trait has been made BASELINE.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug that made warrior appear in the game. Warrior was given a complete rework and renamed to revenant with the launch of Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns

I will lay the truth on you guys now: Anet made a 180° from gw1 to gw2. Gw2 is a pure pve game. What is called pvp here is just sand in your eyes to make you blind.
