I was wondering how different players in PvP matches handle the situation when your team is down by about 200 points and the other team is at 400 or close to it?
Some people enjoy or feel obligated to fighting on with fervor, believing they can make their team win if they are just good enough.
In hotjoin things can change if new players come in, but mostly that does not happen.
In my experience, if the same players remain on each team, the team with a 100 point advantage and at least 300 points, will win almost all of the time.
When do you believe the loss is 95% probable?
If you say “never!”, than I can’t take you seriously. I mean when the other team has 450 pts and your team is at 50 points, it’s a loss.

one time I came back from 100/400.
Regardless of if I’m losing or winning, I don’t really care. I play because it’s fun, and if I win, that’s pretty neat too.
when tehir team is up 400- anything else below 300 and holds home with 5 people on their team just sitting on it where theres no way to use side mechanics to come back
When I look over before the match starts and see the warrior with the role player name and a legendary greatsword.
…gg

I have had a few of those, but I am sure it’s because the team composition changed. Such as when the top player on the winning team left hotjoin to enter a match, and a really strong player came onto the weak team at the same time.
Never give up, even when 400pt behind. Cuz never know, their whole team can still D/C if you pray to the drowned gods, old and the new gods

I’m unsure why it happened, but this was in solo queue (I’ve never played hotjoin before), and as far as I can tell, new players can’t join solo queue matches, just leave (which no one did iirc)
Look at League of L. U can vote to resign. Same thing should be done in gw2 to make reality adjusted to game rules. Ppl stay afk comin back evrry 2 min to move only to not get dishonored. I dont understand why not resign vote…
Since the matchmaker cannot work properly when there are not enough people playing at the time to make two even teams, perhaps the game should add a “handicap” to a team that is really steam rolling.
For example, once your lead grows to an ridiculous amount it is clear the teams were not balanced to start. So you slow the rate that the winning team can gain points.
You would also turn off autobalancing and team-picking. It has to start random.

A game today my team had 10 pts and their team had 450, they went for lord and 1 dc’d. We triple capped then held it until 350, then we got a lord kill. So you can win if you’re lucky.
You don’t need luck to mount a comeback.

143-402, comeback

Comebacks do happen. But I have more than 3,000 matches, and I rarely see them in dramatic fashion where one team has 450 pts and is stopped cold suddenly by the weak team who then holds them absolutely still and makes up 400 points.

Once won a 30-400 game, and it was 3 days ago. So yeah, you should keep fighting no matter what. Don’t give up, encourage your teamates, if someone rage, DO NOT MAKE THINGS WORSE, just tell them to not give up! You need to be FRIENDLY! And if you lose, so what? At least you tried.
Basically, you’ll soon realize the top 100 players are usually those who don’t rage, and keep fighting until the match is over no matter what, because sometime, it just takes a long time than usual to adapt with your teamates.
Hope it helped!
Oh most importantly, I don’t see you walking children in nature.

4v5
Going against 3+ engies
Going against 3+ bunker in solo arena
Letting enemies get stillness+tranq
Spirit watch, Temple of Silent Storm and Foefire support comebacks.
Skyhammer only if your team switches characters and you can suddenly hold on to cannon.
But lets be honest… comebacks are extremely rare. Either it’s close from the start or it’s pretty much decided after first team hits 200+ and other team lags 100 behind. At that point you have to pray for:
a) a sudden spike in IQ of your teammates (never seen that happen)
b) a sudden drop of IQ of enemy team (seen that happen way too often)
c) your afk comes back
d) enemy team looses 1-2 players to disconnect/afk.
can not come back from 4v5 games. played 3 4v5 games in a row today . people from our team left and the one who would get swapped over would leave too. It always stayed 4v5, i dont know why, probably the people dont want to join a losing team. its soo annoying.
When the other team is at 400 and winning by 150 its 95% probable. However if its 100 to 300 its a little out of the normal range but the team that’s down still can win.
