when somebody leaves battle, how does the system work that replaces them?

I notice from time to time, when people leave they get replaced.

I never joined a game that already started, so I am curious how that works.

If you’re talking about during the minute and a half of waiting before a battle begins, then that’s just someone who is already on your team who decided to exit the game to character select, then log in on a different character. This is usually done because they decide that other character would bring more to their matched team.

If this is happening during an actual match, after the “waiting for players” has ended and the match has begun…..then I have no idea, as it shouldn’t happen.

Considering they said “I never joined a game that already started”, I’m assuming they are referring to hotjoins. In a hotjoin setting, if someone leaves, they will not be replaced. Either it’s someone who felt like joining your team or the other team has too many players and then they get put onto your team either by force or by someone volunteering.

I’m sure you weren’t talking about tournaments but let’s say this did happen in a tournament setting… you will be 4v5 for the rest of the game. Sorry.. that’s how the system works.

the game needs to penalize quitters today i had many batlers where someone quit in one or two cases when i looked i ended up with 2 allies vs 5

i say we penalize quitters that do not return to the match before it ends with a 50 minute match block . wich should be the equivalent of 5 games as they have max times of about 12 minutes

see I been noticing that people that leave the matches in the middle of a losing game, seem to get replaced.

But I never got an answer on how this replacement system works, because I never once been put into a game that has already started.
