The feature patch is coming up but there really is no new pvp content in it. Its just a rehash of current armor and pve items delivered in a new way. When can we expect new maps, game modes, ladders, etc. ?

On a personal note, I feel every pvp implementation has failed and with their slow development pace its hard to feel good about this game. Two disliked maps, elimination of qualifying points and replacement of glory, elimination of tournament chests and rewards, rank revamps, replacement of leaderboards in favor of a ladder structure, etc. Its time for anet to release something we can hold on to.

Feature patch has nothing to do with content.

To be honest I see this feature patch simply as a catch up patch, systems that we need before we can even think about new content. Saying that though I can see some real content coming in the not too distant future.

You really need to learn what features are. A whole new reward system is a FEATURE. Therefore, feature patch.

Uh, the new patch introduces a new map.

Also, TotSS was added after release and is a map favorite for many people. Skyhammer is a different story.

New traits, runes, sigils, amulets count as ‘new content’ for pvp, for me at least

Not really. It is 30 traits. Hardly like a new weapon with traits per class. That would be a feature we could expect after 6-8 months of literally NOTHING.

Runes and sigils are changed for consistancy. Dont expect too much there. There is no new map except in hotjoin. Doesn’t really count. Will just make people hate queuing even more when they have to go back to player vs point for tournaments.

And 2 new amulets but then they stop you mix and matching amulet and jewel so there we go

anet has never made any indication that this is a content patch. Colin even made it clear that

Feature = new features.
LS=new “content” (whatever that means to them).

Apparently they are going to announce something big on tuesday who knows what that is. (probably Pve related).
