The single gamemode in spvp getting old.

Sens release we have a single gamem mode, stand in cirkle and survive. But for the hotjoin and simply fun pvp I dont see a reason why we not got new game modes yet.

Last man standing, team deathmatch, capture the flag, hostage or whatever.

One of the reasons some classses feel stronger in the sPvP atm is not always that the mineral class balance is shaking, its that there simply only exist one way to play the spvp and for that role some classes acctive and passive defenses is better than others.

Classes who survive due to mobility, immunitys and stealth stad back to area controll, defensive classes as they can be just as effective over a area and still hold a point.

Also, al ppl dont find the cirkle controll gameplay wery inspirating or fun.

So when are we going to see some new game modes?

Yea actually that sounds about right, until then i’ll be playing other games

After the 4th of mach the Anet team will take a short break. After that break they will launch a “big feature patch” that will probably include the two new gamemodes. Its a bit of a competition thing, where they add a lot really cool stuff when TESO and WS are about to launch. To keep ppl playing/interested in GW2.

So they are saving up cool stuff now.

If i had to take a guess id say the 1st of april. Exactly 4 weeks after the 4th of march and a few days before the TESO launch. Would be perfect timing imo.

Some recent responses stated that some “big changes” where coming after “The Living World” stuff ends. So we should some some nerfs in April and by July we should see the new pvp booster! Joking of course but they have been saying “BIg Changes” are coming for months now and each months passes with little to nothing. So I guess we will have to wait to see what happens in April!

The only things that will be huge are Grouch’s promises that they have much more in the works but “sadly” cant talk about.

Why would we want new game modes when even this old one can’t be balanced sufficiently and match making is not working.

If we get a new game mode some day it will most propably old pvp map boosted by some secondary mechanism that make players rage quit like certain “not-to-be-mentioned” map.

I thought I would correct you, but they have been promising big pvp changes since the 3rd beta weekend. Thats right, these “big changes” have been on the books for over a year now.

Just like the new Guns and Roses album and Duke Nukem, when it finally comes out it will be a let down. Far too long have serious issues been ignored and this same simple game mode and been allowed to set the whole tone of the game for too long.

I honestly do wonder about the lifespan of this game, I think it may start to decline over the next few years and never really “hit it big” in a long term way.

I dont understand, why should i buy a game and wait to have fun with it..?

I usually buy a game and i have fun from the start…Since i dont have fun now what should i wait?I wanted to play AAA esports pvp as they advertisted it….

Well i was fooled.
So why should i wait from the same persons that fooled me to give me in 4 months what they said it will be there a year and a half ago?

You are waiting from the same guys that put Dhummfire, Warriors Healing signet, this leaderboards, this soloq and many other kitten things in this wonderfull game to make and deliver an new gamemode ..?

They will probably focus on Living Kitten and one day before they deliver the new gamemodes they will just put some kittens together and deliver an full of bugs and boring new gamemode…

It will be called
We-Dont-Care-forest of Tyria.

It will have a lot of the trees and players will run in this forest free trying to kill the Warriors….

I think personally alot of the stress about balande would be sorted if we from new game modes also got new roles. Atm you have a few classes who can use defensive skills and hold a point while other is better at mobility etc. With some creative thinking we could have modes who actually rewarded other types of gameplay.

This could have been stated since the games release or a year back. If the pressure was applied from the get go who knows…sky’s the limit.

With the end of 2013, anet’s deadline is nearing with the production of new MMO’s with better pvp systems and better pve content nearing completion. So if I was the next couple of readers, I’d state “when will we get new mind blowing pvp or pve content/concepts (that actually worth it to accomplish or get involved in)” instead of “The single gamemode in spvp getting old”.

We virtually are passing the point of anet not delivering on client expectations and nearing the point how will anet keep the client base or compete with other online games.
