Where has the 10v10 gone?
I agree and disagree. PvP isn’t dead is just a little stagnant. Not much variety for the casual players. I like the idea of a bigger map and it still 5 v 5 as this requires less of a zerg style of play and more strategical play. Hopefully anyway. I agree a few different modes wont go amiss though.
Ah the 10v10 hotjoin zergs in capricorn where you could do 50+ kills (mostly from cannon). Was a tad bit zergy but fun while it lasted. I miss the map more than the zerg tho
8v8 10v10 were super fun, play cheesy artillery builds and go ham… definitely should be around but definitely should be secondary
Have you watched any tournaments recently? Have you seen how much kitten there is all around when it’s a 5v5 teamfight? Can you imagine how horrible it would be if we had 10v10’s? These maps are not made for so much people at all. If they introduce a new gamemode with new maps and make it 10v10, okay. But I doubt that will happen as there isn’t enough people to fuel such a gamemode.

Honestly, the removal was justified. They either had to fix underwater skills or remove the map. The problem with ANet’s thinking is that they never see the most beneficial solutions. Many people liked the map so why didn’t they just remove underwater combat from it? I dunno.
Yes, I understand they were removing the underwater combat, but they could have removed the water…keep the ship in a dried up lake and removed cap points…Now it’s a TDM map l, rather than removing content. I don’t particularly care for the map but don’t really think removing it was the right way to go.
Courtyard was the replacement for capricorn. Now that you’ve mentioned it, I DO think a water-less capricorn would be a better TDM map. It was larger, had different terrain, had structures like the ship and the building you could use for defense. It was basically a fun, bright, happy map that many of us enjoyed.

People with custom arenas CAN set team size anywhere from 1 to 10. They can’t go over that due to server limitations, if I remember correctly, not just a decision to reduce customization by Anet. Also, lots of people hated/loved Capricorn and lots of people hated/loved Skyhammer. Capricorn was removed because underwater combat wasn’t well suited for PvP. They could have done other things with the map, and maybe they will in the future, but it isn’t as clear-cut as you imply.

That’s my point…1-10…meaning max 5 per team. Yet, there used to be 8v8. If it is a server issue I can understand that part.
About skyhammer, there has not been any other map in this game that has over 2k posts complaining about it. I know a lot of people that loved l/hated both maps but the hatred for capricorn was not even close to that of skyhammer. (At the peak of these posts was when they removed capricorn instead) I understand that capricorn needed to go because of “underwater combat”, but still think it would have been a better map for TDM than what we currently have.
1-10 per team you kitten . You can set your custom arena to allow a 10v10.

You’re asking for a entire redesign of the map.
The water content is about 60% of the map.
