I’m not here to bash on the way the game searches for team in the soloq and how you can get the top tier players as a casual, I don’t mind that.

I’m here to ask why is everyone at a higher tier so terrified of competition. I just watched Mistpedia with the #1 team NA stacked with all the famous names of GW2, vs a VERY talented team (someone said not to use names so I wont, you can look it up). The outcome? 3-0 to the #1 team NA. But, why are these top tier players not making their own teams? Why don’t they make their own opposition to have competition.

A player I talked to that was/is a part of these teams did this one day, with some talented friends and he fought the stacked team that loves to increase their tPvP rank and said he had SO much fun cause it was intense, it was challenging, and yes they did win a few and yes they did lose a few but they had fun because competition existed.

So I ask, why are people afraid of competition at a high level and why don’t people try to make their own teams and break away from the cheese specs they’re all use to.

Some of you will say, they’re just trying to chill with friends and have fun, but I just don’t see the fun in winning 500-100 most of the night with the occational team that hits 200-300.

It’s the friends thing. Same stuff happened to me in Ultima Online. The best players tend to gravitate towards each other and sometimes even the people that weren’t quite as good play with them sometimes and end up becoming better players. Winning at a high level with a good group of people is quite fun.

Then you get people saying kitten like it’s not fair why don’t you guys play with someone else instead of all banding together….. if you be that guy your painting a target for them on your back and it just looks like that guy is just mad.

Cuz they don’t want to lose. Difficult to find the players to build a new team. So few experienced players now, most are just casual pve type players.
