Where that Necros hate comes from??
Necromancers just need more stunbreakers on abilities. Or shorter cooldowns on specific defensive abilities.

Oh no Necros won’t be able to convert quickness into a condition… I mean… oh wait… they will.
For real this not even funny anymore , every patch is a nerf to a class that is not even in good shape compered to other classes. Since release necro was getting nerefed over and ove , oh yeah and some bug fixes.
Just recently necro got heavily nerfed because u can swap ulti/weapons so u cant get lf at start of a match , now chill and cripple wont effect movement skills.
I can tell what will happend to necro after core and elite spec release , will be complete trash because every other profession will receive multiple buffs making then even more OP then they are now.
Lets be honest , devs have no clue how necro work in pvp , they have no idea what to do with the class , for me they give up long time ago.
Actually I personally think the Dev working, or highlighted as working on Necromancer and Mesmers has a brilliant mind. (Robert G. Not because he is giving me changes I want, but because I can see that he understands Necro’s on levels I don’t think most players do.
To say that they never play necros and do not understand them is a blanket statement with no basis. They don’t advertise that they play necro, they don’t advertise when their standing next to you all the time. In fact alot of times they are lol.
I do think that Engi is a favored class by some Devs at Arena net, but at the same time being favored, doesn’t necessarily mean it wont be balanced. This is a game tied to a business. A business would not survive if everyone played one class. Because people would get bored and leave.
So its to soon to tell honestly what will happen to the Necros/Reapers. They are constantly announcing changes they are making to turn current play-styles upside down. I like this, its time! Its long overdue and I am sure that there will be pain from things that turn out to be OP and there will be buffs for things that don’t equal out.
We, like they, just have to wait and see…
The bigest problem is that every patch brings smt new , smt fresh , some buff to some class except necro and i am afraid if will be same with core and elite specs

Oh I didnt agree with that either. But when the reaper specialization came out I understood alot better the changes they were making and why. They are linked.
My point here is that that is how they want necros to be, how they think things will go down and thier ideals for the class. They have probably tested it out against other specializations even. Now, is that how the players will play it. More then likely not, but you never know, perhaps in the future we will want to be hit, because we are so tanky and do so much chill…. (probably not)
I do understand your sentiments, I do as I main a necro. However,your belief that there arent Devs that play necro, well you would be surprised.
Then they go into the Necromancer traits and show how they changed traits to proc when the Necromancer hits instead of being hit.

Well hate to be right but again anet proven that they have no idea what to do with necro , yes they changed a lot , yes we see some nice changes but at the end every other profession is getting some rly rly good stuff and necro again left far far behind…
Consume Conditions: This skill is now considered a corruption skill and applies 10 stacks of vulnerability to you for 4 seconds after use. Increased recharge to 30 seconds. - the only vaible and easiest to interupt necro heal in game nerfed – made my day :P
Boon to condition conversion and condition to boon conversion has been standardized and its functionality changed. Skills which convert boons and conditions now randomly select from all boons and conditions on the target instead of taking the last applied. – big slap and nerf for necros

It’s actually a buff in most cases, the conditions that we were prioritized are swiftness and protection which are bad for condition builds and the least prioritized boon was stability or retaliation. With being the boons random we got a better chance at removing the desirable boons. For power builds wells are a bit nerfed but focus remained the same. Also all applied conditions of corrupted boons are made to the level of corrupt boon which is a buff as well.
I disagree only with one aspect for Necro nerf.
Consume Conditions – that’s at this moment the only viable Healing Skill, Necromancer has – note that majority of other classes have at least 2 viable healing skills.
So, like I did mention in other thread – if they want us to use other healing skills, then make them viable instead of nerfing the only viable one.
Well of Blood could be another viable healing skill if it would have few changes – reduce cooldown to 35 seconds + Condition removal per pulse.
Voila. We have 2nd viable healing skill.

Necro downstate damage. Hands down the worst downstate of all 8 classes. Closely followed by ranger. Revenant seems to be just as annoying but at least it’s not in the game yet.
Also necro sustain is quite high, IF you play something other than berserker, so crying about it makes 0 sense.
P.S: I do get the idea of downstate being one more chance at winning a team fight but its freaking annoying to get a necro down in 1on1 just to be downed by their lulz downstate. It deals 20k damage by the time you finish stomping. God forbid if you are out of CDs for safestomping and the bugger fears you. You’re dead.

Typically the guy who knows nothing about the class lmao . Go play something other than zerker glass canon nec atm for show how good you are in this meta . Go for a tanky spec and be a big green walking hp bag doing no damage , with no stab . People complaning about downstate are soo dumb , yes it is OP , but just imagine how worse the state of the class would be without this . Don’t talk if don’t know kitten about the class and his problems

Maybe it is time to stop calling the changes ‘balancing’. They really have nothing to do with that any more. They feel like the result of some largely random process, where some professions are looked into by someone who cares about them and is in the position to make strong changes and others by someone who is just tasked with doing this and is not the in position or disposition to do something meaningful.
Why spend all this time introducing more gameplay and buffs to engis? From the point of view of balancing, there is zero reason for that.
Theyll get it right eventually.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
Soul Comprehension is still as useless as it was before. Actually moreso because it was giving us more life force from things that weren’t deaths before.
It only makes up approximately half a percent of total life force gains right now. It really is that pathetic.
In my opinion the worst part is the consume conditions change. If it wasnt for that change i would have been happy with the changes (atleast for now)…
Consume Conditions should not have a self inflicted condition on it…
Plague also didn’t need a change other than getting the Corruption tag. Its intent was a tanky frustrating transformation, but with adding the self-bleeds, it now helps your foes kill you instead.

The plague nerf is stupid. We have no good heals and no good elites now. Plague form struggles with conditions. That is how plague form dies. As in you should not use plague form to survive when playing vs a condi engi and a condi warrior or something. Then you survive longer without plague form.
If anyone at anet actually played necromancer they would know this, and they would know that plague form dies to conditions. And that making it pulse or two conditions on yourself is a huge nerf.
Totally ridiculous. Again proving none of them understand necro unfortunately. I would love to talk to them for 2 hours and show them the basic rotations and skills used on necro. And what the strengths, weaknesses and purposes of each skill and trait on necro is. And why we require certain traits and certain skills.

I dont understand why Anet needed to give CC and plague the self conditions. Even without the self conditions they could have called them corruption skills…
Necro design is just terrible which makes them absolutely redundant as a class. Necro is neither fun to play as they suck in tpvp and fullfull no role nor is it fun to play against. Power necros are some gimmick kitten that much like power ranger revolve around spamming 2 skills whilst condi necros will just spam conditions on you without the need to combo certain skills. If it wasn’t for the synergy with some sigils, I’m pretty sure necro would not even have a single semi viable build. (I’m saying semi viable because no matter how you put it – necro isn’t viable in tpvp).
If there was a class to be deleted from the game, I would – without a single doubt – vote for necro, as it feels so out of place in comparison to any other class. It’s a cheap ripoff off gw1 necros that has abysmal class design/abilities and is absolutely annoying/frustrating to play against.
Now I admit, I’m an avid necro hater, but even after almost three years of fighting necros, the fight/outcome still feels completly random. There are barely (if any) key skills to dodge and I’m usually more concerned about some passive procs or random procs than what the nec is actually doing. This is probably also due to the fact that necro still has the worst kittening animations in the game. Every skill of a weaponset seems to have more or less the same animation with only slight differences that aren’t as easy to spot in a fight. Also fear – their trademark condi – seems to be applied so randomly its not even funny anymore. I sometimes get the feeling that necros themselves barely have any control over the utilization of fear.

Sry but a lot of changes (nerfs) makes no seans , why other profesions got so buffed and necro witch is already in bottom when it comes to pvp got actualy nerfed , most of the changes are random , curse trait line is one big mess , plague and consume condition nerf , lich nerf , epidemic nerf idk what ealse but its sad and frustrating to watch how devs have no idea and they just dont care about balancing necro.
But hey they buffed axe most usless weapon in game
