Where to practice/learn 1v1 battles
This guy gives off a pretty nice breakdown on S/D but keep in mind it’s been heavily nerfed since then. The Sword 2 trick doesn’t work anymore and 1 second cd for stealth attacks makes timing all the more critical.
1v1 arena is really where people go to hone their skirmishing skills or to stroke their own egos, it’s where a lot of elitists/ hardcore pvpers go. It’s not surprising that they’re a little hostile, the drama that comes out of those arenas are fairly entertaining to watch. It’s the saltiest place in the game next to Ranked arenas
Oh yeah, I already watch videos from this guy, he’s really good, the only problem it has is that the videos where you can truly learn are those where he duels but in none of them he commentates anything, if he could, after showing the duel, slow down the video on the important parts and explain a couple of things it would be exactly what I’m searching for.
I see, so 1v1 arenas are a bad place to search for advice, good to know hahaha, it’s a shame since just a couple of tips from those players would have helped a lot but it seems that I’ll have to do this alone by trial and error during a long time, anyway, thanks for the help, it’s nice to see that there’re friendly people in the game.
you can add me in game, if your hardest matchup is d/p thief, here I am …
also in the times when I was learning playing thief I really liked this dude:

it’s fosho outdated, but mechanics havent changed so much and this clip has some really cool slowmotion actions to let you see what’s happenin
gl mate
Oh, thanks! That would help a lot if you don’t mind doing a duel session, what name should I add in-game though? The username that’s shown on the forum?
there is often a bunch of 1v1 weirdos roaming around the castle on eternal battleground with their own awkward honor code and stuff so you might try to spar with them, they are usually on the eastern side of it iirc
