Often I need to change chars when I see the enemy team’s comp. But for some strange reason instead of sending my new char straight to the PvP map, Anet sees it fit to first send me to some irrelevant PvE map or the HotM. I’ve had 1 minute loading times only to immediately be sent to my final destination (this was gendarran fields).

For this reason, I want to park all my toons in the fastest loading map possible to minimize this downtime. So which is the fastest loading map in your opinion?

1. Ebonhawk
2. Straights of Devastation (This does have balthazar, but it’s like never up)
3. Lornar’s Pass
4. Brisban Wildlands
5. Hirathi Highlands

HoTM has megaserver on it, so definitely not.

If you turn down your graphics settings, maps load significantly faster

But you have to have GW2 installed on it.

Or if anet was smart they wouldn’t have you load the map you are in instead load the pvp map when changing characters

If you have Hall of Monuments you can go to there since its a small map and empty of players. (Unsure if it resets on log-out though)

You could also try The Grove since its the smallest city and pretty easy to get to.
