Which classes are the best at conquest?
The Chronomancer especially Condi is very strong but depends on player skill, now the easiest / best classes currently are DH, Warrior, Druid, Scrapper and Revenant they are the most forgiving classes to play, the others are decent but mostly rely on player skill to be good.
Every class can do quite well.
For me chrono is one of the best. I play Scrapper or Chronomancer but for going in solo at the end i have more succes with chrono even if i played it far less than scrapper .
Chrono is strong in 1vs 1 . It has a great mobility and it can fight quite every class . Portal is a great “weapon” even for going solo becouse you can be the +1 in a the fight if used at the right moment or you can control an empty point from another one. it is not only a team tool . The only problem of mesmer is that it is a little bit more diffucult to learn as mechanic (for making damage with shatter clones have to hit the target so usually you have to shatter when target is among clones . Another thing of chronomancer and mesmer is that you have to learn to wait to use your skills and to preserve some of them for when you really need them .
For starting i ’d use scrapper or condi warrior or dragonhunter . Class that are easier to learn than mesmer but in the meantime are effective quite soon .
I ’d avoid thief. Thief is an high tactical class and for going solo with thief and being usefull you have to have a good map knowledge and strategy. it is not a class for beginners .

Druid can do well fighting 2 v 1, you may not win the fight but you force 2 enemies to waste their time on you, leaving your team of 4 to fight their 3, you would also deny them to point for a good portion, remember you are supposed to be keeping and holding points (The team that keeps the points wins the game not kills generally)
DH, Chrono and Scrap also do this quite well, I also use Necro to some success (I usually make my pvper to be sustainable so I can take on at least 2 people and keep them busy for a good portion of time)
But as you can see people have different favourites, so my actual advice is to take the classes, find a build and try it out with them all and see which one works best for you.

Depends what kind of weapon set you’ve been using: P/P Thief is probably the easiest spec in the game and very effective. Every noob can kill with double pistols in a matter of seconds (yes, you can kill DHs with p/p), while other weapon sets requires much more skill. p/p burst dmg is super high (power, not condi) and survivability is not that bad, just be sure to take d/p offset vs profession with high reflection or SB if you need more mobility.

Ok you kill but it is not enough. Thief for being usefull has to be smart , to decap point fast or to act as +1. It is something not easy for a beginner. It is more effective, in my opinion , to run a dw, a scrapper, a druid or a condi warrior and sit on a point . Thief is not a point holder so it has to do “something” more than fight to be usefull , while other classes simply sit down and keep a point capped ( my 2 cents )

P/P has the worst survivability out of all thief specs it takes more awareness than the others to pull off, it is an all in build for most intents and purposes, the person playing it needs to be able to kite with only having 900 range. It has very limited stealth since it is initiative heavy
Condi Mes, Druid, condi Berserker, Scrapper, power Rev, sometimes condi Rev is good too. DH is up there, but only when stacked. An unstacked DH is surprisingly manageable.
This is specifically good players vs good players. At lower tiers, single DHs can wreck anyone. Thieves and Reapers become more powerful because people don’t know how to deal with them. At higher tiers, Reapers are weak and easy to focus. Only a good Reaper knows how to stay alive, and his teammates know how to help him.
If you want to know what I think is the absolute best, well, it’s hard to say exactly. Every profession has a specialty still. Conquest involves rotating between points and up close combat. Scrappers, Revs, Mesmers and Druids can all get across a map quickly and are excellent in team fights and skirmishes. They have high damage, high sustain, and high mobility. These are the characteristics that make for a great conquest profession.
Berserkers have some sustain and good damage, but they lack the mobility of the other four. Ele could be on the list, but now they suck at fighting against anyone who knows what to do. Thieves have the highest mobility, but they cannot do large fights, especially with all the DHs running around. Reaper sucks at large fights as well and are slow between points. DHs are good when stacked, decent when alone, but they are also somewhat slow. Still, they’re one of the better professions right now, and they’re godlike in groups, making points almost impossible to cap without perfect coordination.
Thank you guys for the tips…… I am testing my Revenant and yes… it’s much more easy and powerful… no comparison to the Chrono…. well at least in my hands. I was not killing anyone now I am killing a lot :P
Demon hunter is op in conquest, so is death knight.
