Instead of every class has pro cons blah blah blah, is there someone who is the best?

Undisputed, best 1v1 player hands down on point like in a ring? pvp or wvw.

no cheese like kiting for days over half the map etc…

I personally don’t think there is a “single” best but in fact multiple people across multiple classes. But I would agree min is one of the top duelists in the dueling scene. A few others would be caprey, and dicocco. ( sorry if I spelled their name wrong)

There are so many great duelists out there, it’s hard to name them all. Kronos, Ash, Raineee, Dicocco, Min, Forsoke, Shadowplane, Mur, Eradan, Helseth, tooooo many GAH

Funny how the whole cheating scandal has changed people’s answers. This question has been asked before and the guys that were cheating in the leaderboard were always brought up.

In WvW there’s too many things to break a build to consider dueling there remotely legitimate.

There are axe+/mace+hammer warrior builds that work incredibly well in WvW due to the way you can stack stats on top of food and certain runes and sigils that simply are not available in spvp.

The permastealth thief builds in WvW are broken compared to the builds in spvp as well.

In general thief and warrior are a lot more broken in WvW alongside PU condi mesmer than their variants in spvp.

Thanks to the usage of pve gear and food, glass thief can couch a lot of its inherent weaknesses that could usually be exploited in spvp.

Which is why WvW is swarming with thieves, PU mesmer, and warrior roamers.

The ability to stack 100%+ crit damage bonus (instead of the 60% cap in spvp) does a huge up swing for power builds.

WvW also has condi reduction food that allows warriors to become virtually condi immune in WvW.

There’s definitely not a best 1v1 player… I win 95% of my 1v1s on scrapper, but lost to a really good DH the other day. That same DH (who beat me consistently), lost 4/5 to a guy that I have never lost to. Point being, certain classes counter others.

You could probably make a list of the top 250 1v1ers in the game, but there’s no best.

From an ESL perspective I have heard Sid raising ROM is the best duellist.
But ok it comes from a thief perspective…maybe too contextual.

Every time i see youtube videos or Pro League games Rom seems to be the man when it comes down 1 vs 1.

Before HOT i would throw in Noscoc, not a huge fan but got to give credit where its due.

Drazeh would be my “guess”. Impossible to really know. GW2 isn’t really balanced for 1s though as we know.

I honestly think the community is getting restless with no tournaments, so now people are just talking about people in the game.

There are a few people who stand out in the 1 vs 1 though. Like for me tarcis, toker, Rom all have been great 1 vs 1 players.

But who knows since we probably wont get another big tournament and because of that, people are just gonna talk about people in the game.

I’d say Min Scherzo and Sindrener. I know.. both thieves, but seriously, they have sooo much knowlege of other clases. Sindrener is like impossible to beat 1 on 1. He knows exactly when to disengage and reset. Watching him fight is not the most exciting thing ever but he’s just way too effective.

Rain and mur are in my guild. god squad op. Currently 6 of us, and all known relatively well in dueling servers. With that being said, here is my list for duelist on each class which I personally believe are top notch. This is for NA btw

warrior: Rosales lionheart, that guy is a beast. Omnidus is pretty good too
rev: I agree with you on this, ash mistfire is something else on rev
mes: Shadowplane is pretty kitten good
guard: Thermite is probably the best I’ve fought. Kronos isn’t bad either. One of the other guys in the guild called god of oceans is pretty kitten solid, but I don’t really get to fight him since we’re usually playing together
theif: Haise, min, and korno are solid choices. Kraale as well
ranger: a guy named anet pls is really solid. Kraale is also pretty nasty on druid as well
ele: lol

Keep in mind, these are people who come to dueling servers so my list is obviously flawed but yea, these guys are still really kitten good

I’ve fought Rosales way back Pre-HoT, he’s definitely a really good warrior, he’s also the reason even as a guard up to this day I fear competent warriors.

Mur is also a very competent player as I’ve experienced in a duel server. Dicocco is also a top notch ele who’ve I had a blast fighting 1v1 pre-HoT. I’ve fought Naru in a 1v1 tourny before HoT and even during S5, he’s very good.
