Hello all! Back from a break and just purchased HoT. Was playing some pvp and realized that the meta changed more than I thought it would and now have no idea who to target first…Can you guys help me out with which class/spec or whatever to kill first? Thanks in advance!

In general, in order of being easiest to kill to the most difficult.

And don’t bother engaging a chrono if he’s standing on a point, the fight will go on forever and you won’t even manage to decap (and certainly not cap in your favor), even at 2v1.

hmm how is viper rev hard to kill ?

Condi Rev last? Well, maybe if you all run condi only and no boonstrip… If you play a balanced setup, it’s IMHO one of the easiest to kill. Other than that, I can probably agree with that list.

Viper revs usually run mallyx/glint or mallyx/shiro. With glint they have high resistance uptime and infused light upon being focused. With shiro, they have high mobility which they can use to disengage easily. Either way, with revenant passive procs and defensive skills from s/sh and staff, he is extremely hard to kill if played well.

i also question the viper rev but agree with everything else.
If they have a thief or warrior its easy kill take them out first, but thats rare.
Usually my teams target the reapers first, DHs if there are any and the rest is just kinda figured out as we go.

And that sucks because bunker chrono should be at the top of the kill priority due to their alacrity and illusions messing with targetting.

Easiest to kill also depends on class. Reapers are almost trivial on my druid since I can go into astral form, pop the condition cleanses, interrupt with dazes and black hole, get up my healing, and out of form root with staff, switch to longbow, and keep distant going for rapid fire at a correct moment whereas on a viper Shiro/Mallyx rev reapers are much tougher battles.

I think this list is all wrong. Rule of thumb is to focous down whoever is the squishest 1st it doesn’t matter what class. But assuming all base type classes are easyer to take down than elites.

Rev/Herald

While warriors pose a real threat, however, they have enough types of immunity to damage and have a high health pool. They also seems to have a bit of good mobility to run. Depending on this warriors skill level and build pretty big mistake to focous them.

Thief generally you want to focus 1st even if they are good. They can die in 2 hits.

Ranger same thing as thief unless they have stone skin up or are playing bunker druid.

Focusing a bunker druid 1st seems like a huge mistake.

Reaper has a huge health pool and unless they are glass they take forever to DPS down.

Tempest should go down pretty easy unless they are bunking. Bunker tempest take forever to down.

Scrappers would probably be on my list of one of the squishier targets however they have a few invulns that will prevent you from bursting down.

Viper Rev is pretty squishy.

Sometimes taking out the easiest target does no good.. Sometimes it’s just being reactive and switching focus to whoever gets low.. Sometimes pressuring the bunker IS possible, and a good move. Personally I like to make sure to keep a lot of pressure on whoever is dropping the biggest damage.

Ah ok thanks guys. Btw I (attempt) to play Tempest if that means anything. If anyone would like to shed some tips on playing that too that’d be great. Im used to the massive damage before the Xpac, and now its all bunky and no damage so…. yeah.
