So yea, a lot of my friends decide that they are waiting for SOTG and then they will decide about staying in the game or not. I am also waiting for SOTG and I am wondering how many people are in the same situation and WoW new PvP season starts in less than week…

I also ask a lot of people in the mists and there is a lot of people really waiting for this SOTG.

So are you waiting for SOTG? what if they won’t say anything new?

SOTG is pointless, alot of things are said (even if it’s mostly “we can’t talk about that”) but nothing happens.

Yep most ppl i know arent playing and some are waiting for this SotG including me to shed some light on what is goin on and if this game will be worth playing anytime soon. Im shelfing gw2 after 6 months and playing other games until i think its worth coming back unless i become to invested in some other game in the meantime.

I find the question somewhat funny, because there’s no decision to make. It’s not like the sPvP itsself gets any better or worse after the SOTG.
In games with a subscription fee it makes sense to care about future development, because you have to pay up front for at least a month. In GuildWars2 you can log in, whenever you feel like. So what’s the point of planning ahead?!

I really feel they are better off not even doing these SOTG interviews. They end up saying they will do a bunch of stuff, and promising even more and never deliver. It only adds fuel to this forest fire if you ask me

Well heres the thing…. If the game isnt gonna deliver what you want it to, you dont feel as rewarded by fine tuning and practicing to get better. So you’d rather spend your free time playing something else..

Also (ideally) the game is supposed to generate money by us buying cosmetic and boosters and things to make spvp more enjoyable without effecting how powerful we are. But all we can buy is some stupid quaggan backpacks and the same single set of gear per armor type that has always been on the market since launch. So it fails there too…..

But ideally i could see why someone would be thinking “should i continue to invest or not” if they were buying cosmetics for the game like LoL or TF2…but ya your right, as it stands now thats not a reason….still, some people were building SPVP teams and crap, and if the game isnt gonna be competitive and have competition features soon….ya, they’ll use this as their que to go play something else.

Edit: there is also an outside chance they use the sotg to break news about the march patch. But in all probability there wont be anything for us in the march patch imo
