Tdm is coming in the feature pack to custom arenas…wondering what class people are thinking will rule them all? What team comp? Anyone have a build they think will work better for this mode?
The map looks great…maybe could have been a little bigger but overall I think it should be fun. Any current maps you think would work for this mode?
I am going to run with my warrior for sure an am guessing a lot of others will too.

I believe it will be just like all these “king of the hill” custom arenas… i.e 90% thieves

the devs said blinks will be strong so we can assume it’ll be as dumb as khylo with people blinking through walls.

nah, warriors show its opness mostly when fighting on point.

thieves will most likely dominate in TDM. just like in WvW roaming.

specially with shadow rejunv.

Good thieves will dominate; boat loads of damage and disengage, options at melee and range, plus high mobility.

obviously, elementalist are going to rulez. As a person who enjoys the elementalist theoretically, but is wont subject himself to actually playing it in PvP, I can that this new patch has open a lot for the elementalist. And I look forward to the new GM traits since they are a game changer.

u should mention your whole burst cant get them down.

It coupd get tem down if you use your burst on cooldown… But if you miss one, they completely regen/endurepain/whqtever.

Not to mention they can use normal weapon skills by themselves to do exactly the same damage to you as youre doing to them… You’d have to dodge every single thing while try can just span skills o.o

It feels completely like the opposite of what makes gw2 combat great: active defense, smart skill usage… Etc.

my bet is on a team of warriors with the new aoe buff sharing, they could work some magic with perma 25 might stacks and greatswords lol

or a team of crit immune conjure eles all pulling out fiery greatswords and nuking things so fast you won’t even see down state!

but lets face it, it’ll probably just be hambows like normal.

well thats almost impossible in an actualy fight anyway .

and new map is 5v5 we dont know what anet is thinking . 3v3 is just better imo considering those aoe and stackable immobilize

I suppose thieves.
They said, that there are a lot of ways to block the LoS.
But as far as I know, Infiltrators strike still works through obstacles, so they might have a big advantage.

What about PU mesmers?

PU mesmer is crap in team fight.

Ele will actually be strong, saw that in 6v6 and with buffs still to come.

Really skilled Rangers will do well in TDM. There is a lot of really cool line of sight stuff for them to take advantage of.

teef, only question is will it be the king of the hill builds or the wvw pro roamers with 30 in shadow arts

No one will care about tdm because this game isn’t close to balanced for it.

Well, people who play thief will probably like it.

Unless we can get 10 v 10 and have the ability to properly build for it the game mode is a fail.

Who cares…it’s for custom arenas, noone gives a kitten…just moar hj heroes stomping others hj heroes..

Dungeon runners will dominate, might stacking FTW!
