Who would you most want to see cast WTS NA?
Bear and Bry.
Purely from an entertainment perspective.
Turbo Seksophonic – Ele / Guitar Wolfe – Mesmer
Isle of Janthir
Backpack cause hype.
Schwahrheit, #1 Fuhrer NA, Just your everyday typical rager
I mute it most of the time. I understand people wanting commentary when they don’t play or understand the game, but when you understand it, why listen to people talk about it? I do the same with soccer and football.
Tichorum + the main shoutcaster from the people who helped w/ ToG (I know they were formerly known as bear cavalry but changed their name to something else).
Blu always talks crap about me and my team whenever we compete and I just don’t think that’s classy since we are just trying to have fun and run non-meta. From tichorum’s casting and bear cavalry they always recognize when teams are running something out of the norm and are at least cognizant of people trying to run something out of the norm without belittling them for making the effort to compete.

Blu or Grouch…its in North America its only right. Theres one in EU jebro and nick can do that but i can’t sit through any Jebro casts..pretty bad/annoying.
Bear and Bry.

They are the only casters who see the game for what it is.
Zulu Ox Tactics [zulu]
Frodan, his co-casting the first ESL monthly was perhaps the most esports GW2 has ever been. Kaelaris was also an excellent choice.
Also giving props to the DPS guys, and obviously I’m biased towards tichorum since he’s been gracious enough to allow me to co-cast.

Why am I not on this list. QQ. Shame on you infantry!
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.

Tichorum should be on this list def.
Thanks for the love Lux. We always appreciate teams that try to think outside the meta.
Blu is not only the best caster but he also deserves it the most.
@$20 an hour! It’s worth it!
The guys at DPS have done some very good analysis and casting in the past, its a shame they don’t get more opportunities.
I would shoutcast so hard; also, post-game interviews.

“I’m so hard right now” – Ozie, in solo queue.
I’d love to see Helseth commenting. I know, not all viewers will share his sense of humor, but he has insight at the top level of pvp and big knowledge of the game what most of your mentioned shoutcasters are just lacking.
Primoridal (S1) & Exalted (S2) & Illustrious (S3) Legend
An analyst desk so we can actually talk about some plays. As the game goes on most of the things that are called are stomps/portal etc. Almost never in depth rotational play nor mechanical plays. Would require the POV of every player though.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!

It’s true I did forget about you and the DPS casters when I made the list. Since you competed in the qualifiers for WTS NA, I assumed you weren’t in the running for a potential caster. And then I don’t even know if the DPS guys are still active in the game. I was mainly thinking of the people I’ve seen casting the ESL cups recently. That said, you are pretty much the most qualified caster I’ve seen from a player expertise standpoint (since you’ve played on a real team/have much more competitive experience than Blu/Jebro/Chronick).

I think it would be cool to have say, two top players one from EU one from NA as an analysis panel between games. Helseth and then maybe Caed or someone else would be cool. I’ve heard Helseth analyze before and when he’s out of character and being serious he has some very good analysis to share.
bear and bry should cast this
What about Sireph?
It’s probably already been decided, but who would you guys most like to see cast WTS NA? What casters would bring the most hype?
Personally I feel like Grouch/Blu know the NA scene best, and definitely are the most popular to see cast NA tournaments.
grouch and blu are the worst casters. sorry, but there’s nothing about them that makes watching competitive events enjoyable. they’ve never played high-level pvp so they don’t bring experience or insight, they’re not really funny or have strong personalities; their voices aren’t even nice to listen to at least.
literally every other caster this game has brings at least one of those qualities mentioned above to the table. i’m guessing the only people that do enjoy grouch/blu are the same people who like their boring recycled twitch.tv humor or bland commentary that is literally just them repeating what they see on the screen.
please anet, just make it so competitive games can be spectated by everyone in game. i am so tired of being forced to watch games through erratic perspective changes accompanied by commentary i have no interest in hearing.
Nos The Dark Lord
Blu has queued with Abjured members and faced good players/teams before. Grouch was queueing with OE a lot during the season.
I’m pretty sure the people who hate on either them do not really understand how much those two have put into the spvp scene.
Blu’s casting could be better at times. But that can be said about everyone who is casting regularly.

I guess I have to whiteknight this kitten if nobody else has a memory longer than a squirrel’s pinky. Papa Groucherino has a legit (dare I say vintage) competitive background in GW2 tPvP, he used to play with Team Paradigm NA back when there still were two TPs in 2012 / early 2013. Granted, they got whupped by PZ, but so did everyone else on NA back then. The point is he was a player before he was a dev. As for your thoughts on his casting, go ham. It’s, like, totally your opinion, man.
Also,
bear and bry should cast this
The internet would explode. Not enough Kappas in the world for what would transpire.
Legend S1-S3 with 100% solo queue 100% conquest
Filthy casual, 6k sPvP games

Uh, Jebro, Chronick and Kaelaris have not played PvP at the highest level. In fact, Grouch probably has the most high level pvp experience out of all of them. Maybe you think their voices are special, but they really just have accents. Jebro probably does have the most distinctive voice, but that could be a positive or a negative depending on personal preference. I don’t find Jebro or Chronick particularly funny either. I think Blu/Grouch know the NA community and the conquest meta better than Jebro/Chronick, and I also think they hype close ends of games a bit better than Jebro/Chronick do. For example, I’ve seen Jebro completely oblivious to the fact that a game is coming down to timer, or not notice a lord rush until the lord is almost entirely dead. I’m sure Blu has done the same kinds of things, but I noticed it more often from Jebro.

exactly. blu and grouch are better casters, but people just like to listen to that funny accent that jebro has
Helseth
Blu and Helseth, so much fun there.
Why does everyone who broadcasts with commentary on these things sound like they belong as wrestling announcers?
From the few times I’ve watched these streams, I had to mute the volume.
I don’t usually like Jebro’s casts. But today he and the other guy are doing a good job.
I have to disagree with the Lord Helseth casting. I don’t want every single play made compared to something he’s done in the past.

I absolutely agree, this is the best I’ve seen Jebro cast. He and Kaelaris make a good team.
Grouch+Kaelaris would be cool.
