It’s free to play, why pay for anything , make a new account and play PvP, it is so much easier to advance with new accounts, don’t know what all the complaining is about. To think any1 in leagues plays for anything other then the chance at some cash its a joke. Lot’s of none HoT setups work great.

Depends how you define winning…

Youre not going to be worldchamp with a vanilla account. Getting to legend is easily doable tho. Did it both seasons with relative ease on my alt account.

I love it when people bring up pay to win, it’s like they need something to validate why they are having such a hard time succeeding.

Hearts of Thorns isn’t optional DLC. It’s an expansion.

The game moves forward, and if you’re not getting the expansion you’re just deciding to stay in the past. If anything you should be grateful that Anet is giving you the option to still compete.

Games like World of Warcraft don’t give a kitten . And you don’t see anyone complaining that they can’t beat a lv100 with their lv90 because they’re stuck at the previous expansion.

Chat is very limited, you only get two characters, can’t trade much on the trading post.
