Seriously I don’t get what’s going on, could someone clarify why I am joining teams who have nothing to lose and deny me my entrance to diamond? Or fighting teams who are clearly better only to end up 500-400 and still lose my pips. I don’t get what’s going on, where’s the fun in this. If fun equals depression count me in
But back to my main question. How is this possible, I thought that this seasons was all about divisions fighting the same divisions.

If youre in tier 5+ ruby its like a “ritual” to enter diamond to be mixed with diamonds & rubys. Kinda funny, but it exist in all divisions.

Because if you can’t defeat those diamond…then you don’t belong in diamond division. Fought sapphire in emerald, ruby in sapphire, diamond in ruby..and legendary in diamond, it happens at all divisions at T5-6

You’re probs right but then again you haven’t seen the teams I’ve played with, a rev ended up escorting a thief close, people don’t bother to cap, teams get slaughtered at mid and people still end up fighting there one by one, at this point I might have better success playing blind.

Funny you should say that, I was in 2 games this morning, with the same Thief that volunteered to cap close. She/He went there and didn’t actually cap it. We won the game though, because the 3 others that were in my team were good players.

Next game, the same Thief was in our team. The Revenant that was in the previous game, was also in the team again. At the start he made it clear to the Thief to actually cap the point this time lol.

We managed to win both games with that Thief in our team, but it’s a shame she/he couldn’t contribute more to the team. Part way through the game, the entire enemy team went to mid, so I broke away and capped far as we were outnumbered. When I capped it, enemy Rev came. Eventually he got me into the downed state. Our Thief came. She/he then proceeded to spam Heart Seeker, into the wall whilst the Rev managed to finish me off.

I found it more hilarious than frustrating. We were far ahead in the lead with points and the enemy team didn’t have too good coordination, so I just kinda facepalmed at the Thief’s miscalculation of Heart Seekering into the wall instead of the enemy player.

This is half correct.
The system matches you with people from a pip range of -15 to +15 at all times. It was on a blog post somewhere, I forgot where.

There is more sense of achievement to decisively beat the odds and defeat higher ranked players. Though, I don’t like this because that isn’t an advantage in your favor. Tell me it isn’t a sweeter victory to beat a higher ranked player? It could be that they’re having a bad day, made a critical error, had internet issues, whatever it could be, and you beat them, it’s sweet.

BTW, I’m a sapphire that just locked tier 2 and I have already been up against rubies at that tier. So, I’m not sure what the matchmaking rules are about mingling the divisions in matches.

the same can be reversed, right? if diamond can’t beat ruby, they don’t deserve to be in diamond. kitten , why are these people in diamond, i ask myself that question a lot when i match up against them.
