Q:
Find pvp players: https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars2PvPTeams/
Q:
Seriously, I want to know. It makes no sense to post in LF forum when you are looking for PVP players. Same goes for WVW.
There used to be separated section but mods decided to merge it all in one section so now we are forced to sort out wvw/pve junk to see teams recruitments.

Because it adds clutter. Everyone viewing the subforums would then have to filter through all of those threads.
Well it seems apparent that the best place to recruit pvp players isn’t on the forums here, cos no-one looks in LF for pvp stuff. Reddit has given me the best outcome to date.
While I’m at it. Why then, could we not have a subforum of pvp (wvw) for LF. That would give us a viable recruitment area and not clutter discussion forum.

The thing is that most recruitment is done in game through the map chat spam.
Would a stickied LF thread on this forum suffice?

Yea that would be great and oh….maybe you can figure out a way to get players to use the lfg tool for spvp. It could be a good place to recruit as well. But no one ever uses it.

You should make it a subforum so people don’t get buried so easily + it will not clutter important stickies.
Subforum:
1. supports communication for a guild and possible recruits
2. does not bury different guilds
3. people don’t have to scour a huge thread looking for something enticing when they can scan titles and look at posts based on views / replies
We could probably go on with reasons for a subforum

Is there even high enough demand for one?
Years ago they condensed and reorganized the forums as there were a lot of subforums rarely used or would be better to be combined. I don’t think they intend to add a subforum strictly for PvP guild advertisements and a sticky sounds like a great compromise.

I would argue that if they want a large and active community they need to plan for one. If everything becomes reorganized because the community is small, that becomes a limiter to its growth

Which can be done when the time comes that a sticky doesn’t adequately handle the needs of an expanded PvP population.
As far as organization in the sticky, have the first or second post be from someone who is willing to relate and maintain a listing of all guilds looking.

Also true, but I would wager if I started messaging the people in map chat in hotm to come and make their own thread to recruit they would

The sticky on the subreddit that help teams and guild find more sPVP players was nice, when it was there until someone remove it in winter 2016…
The best thing would be a spvp sub-forum on PVP forums, so pvp players see them each time they click on the forum section.
(please consider removing infractions points system for all spvp team seeking people we had… the post “timer” is insane…)

A sticky thread is better than what we have. But seriously, sub forum would be better. This is GW2 sPVP, not Reddit sPVP. The official forums should be our first and best means of communication and recruitment.
Make a competitive sub-forum instead where you can include team postings.
