Why do people keep out only 1 wep?
Probably a combination of factors:
- some bad players
- most weps have several “situational” skills and 1-2 steady damage skills
- it probably works well enough for some, since most other players are not giving enough challenge

Bad players is an obvious answer, but it depends on the class as well.
A thief would probably only switch weapons for utility, since the initiative is shared. While a Mesmer, like most classes, probably would switch based on abilities on cooldown/utility. And Engineer has only one set of weapons + weapon kits. I don’t play an Engineer, but I’m sure there are builds that don’t even use weapon kits.
Engineer should be changing the most. They have no cooldown on kit switching. An engineer that doesn’t switch out kits is the worst of all professions.
If you can be effective with one class using a few skills(thief), while other classes have to use their entire arsenal(Necro), then balance is completely out of whack.

It’s funny so much thief qq’ing people keep finding new ways to complain about them.
Assassins were always fast killers.
In this one and two hit format, how do you think they are supposed to kill when it’s faster paced and has persistent respawning for this format and never even battles?
Thiefs are obviously too easy otherwise there wouldn’t be so many of them. Enough said. I swear 60% of players in sPvP are warrior / thief.
I see thieves,mesmers and rangers mostly. More and more elementalists though as people realise how strong they actually are in spvp.
The warriors tend to all be greatsword ones looking for that bullsrush/hundred blades/frenzy combo. They end up sorely dissapointed most of the time when they realise how very fragile they are and how easy it is to avoid it.
