Guild Wars 2

This is an honest, serious question to ANet. I would like to figure out why 5v4, 5v3 matches start. I had 7 such matches today…this is starting down players, that does not include those games where someone quits or is afk – have had 5 of those today as well.

I enjoy this game, I enjoy tPvP, I take part in casted tournaments as a player, support them as a viewer and donate gold towards prize pools. I refer people to this game, I buy gems, I’ve made about 100 GW2-related videos…I think a simple answer to the question of why we must have 5v5-x matches is deserved by all of us.

Please ANet, what are you doing?

because there is not a ready check like in MOBAs.

take DotA 2 as an example, once 10 people are found, there is a ready check, if someone declines or is afk, everyone goes back on queue with top priority.

of course it’s a different game type, but the concept can be used to avoid such unpleasantries once soloQ goes live.

because it makes sense, and if it makes sense it has no place in gw2’s spvp

yeah, i have the same question as OP. with all the effort that’s being put into PvP, you would think there should be a simple check to make sure both teams have 5 players before the match starts.

It took them four months to make paid tournaments.
It took them five months to remove paid tournaments (hell of a job).
They cant fix warrior and necro eight months.

Ready check would take too much time.
They need time to make some new hot features (they cant talk about but those are game breaking feautures).

Who believe them???
Who would pay money to A-net again (after 2 years of unfulfilled promises)

Theres no effort put into PvP..
And it’s like that because it doesn’t make that much money as PvE. PvE makes most money, PvE gets the updates, it’s simple.
