Guild Wars 2

I’ve played gw2 for a long time but the pvp system in the game is just annoying. You either can do 5v5s and relay on your awful teamates and team fights arent all that fun in the first place or you can roam and constantly get ganked and outnumbered.

Now occasionally you happen upon solo roamers/duelers but this doesnt always happen or it takes a while to find them; this is dumb. Running around for hours looking for a fair fun fight is just stupid.

I wish there were 1v1 arena queues in the game. I just wanna do 1v1s and I don’t wanna search for hours in WvW for a good fight. Ik there are also dueling servers but those often have tons of trolls or people who just sit there and dont wanna duel. Its a shame that this game is so fun but the options for PvP are idiotic and tedious.

maybe buy yourself a custom arena, if you are the leader of the arena, you can at least kick the trolls.

the new guild arena might be a place for people to duel. See if it is possible tomorrow.

The guild halls will have arenas when they are set up. You can duel there.

You could go into one of the 1v1 servers.

No duelling, No mounts, No capes.

Why does GW have to be so tiring/boring.

Why do you play this game?

For 1 v 1 fun I suggest the following:

Check the PvP server list for dueling arenas
Go to obsidian sanctum in WvW
Keep on running in WvW hoping to find a worthy opponent
Get yourself a custom arena to setup a dueling server
Join a big fat guild, claim a guild hall when HoT launches, duel everyone from the guild

Those are the things I can think of right now and obviously you would have to wait with the guild hall thing.

lol, the title of this thread sounds like there are so many things about this game that is just booring and tiring… The complaint you have is that there is no 1vs1 dueling? You can’t play PvP becouse you don’t like teamfights, you can’t play WvW becouse you don’t like the odds of being attacked by a zerg instead of another solo roamer? You only play PvP? So PvE is no option? What is there left for you to like in the game?

Well before ESO went FTP I played a Trial of the game, I played a half day and I hated almost everything with it so I quit. I didn’t go on the forums to whine about it to tell their Devs to make the game more like GW2 all I did was leave and never played it again. I think I am bad at making myself understod but this time you will have to figure out what I am trying to say.

I agree I don’t know why they don’t just make a 1v1 sytstem in this game… custom 1v1s aren’t nearly as fun because they barely matter. a real 1v1 system is way better because it’s more formal I guess…

or are they just waiting to put it in another expansion so that we’ll buy the game a third time(with the core game and heart of thorns for free!!!)?

Because people are afraid of “elitism” and warn of the GW2 apocalypse any time it is brought up. 1v1, /inspect, raids. etc are considered “elitist” which is why it took them 3 years just to add a single raid.

But the real question is: Why do people who find this game tiring and boring, play it?

Not exactly what you wanted but it could work.

Since you will have the posibility to duel any person in the new guild halls after expansion the issue is already solved. I am sure you can wait 3 more weeks

OMG! You take one aspect of the game (PvP) and generalize that the whole game is tiring and boring .Theirs more to the game than just PvP .

But PvP whether it’s structured or WvW is the star of the game. Players share advantages and lack AI limitations so it’s fair so long as you have a good class and spec for it.
