When a Reaper dies, that is. The Astral Force of Druids go back to zero when they die. I know they’re different and all, but still.

Was curious seeing how easy it is to generate life force.

Because then no point to play necromancer as other classes are like ten times better than a free kill necromancer. Its already easy to gank necro with the right burst and cc combo even if he have full LF. Thats the simple answer.

I have a whopping 35 mins on my necro but faced a lot of em, I think if you lose all life force after they die it would be too much of a nerf. They simply will just be hit bags with no life force from start.

Life Force is takes much more time to generate. If you wanted to reset life force, you’d need to boost life force generation to compensate. But then it would be extremely difficult to kill necromancers.

“Ahh this question again.” Said every necro to play the game ever.

You see, every class has some sort of damage mitigation mechanic. A Thief has stealth and evades, a mesmer has stealth, clones, invulns, a warrior has invulns, passive healing(lolwarriorissotrash), a gaurdian has lots of blocks, some healing, an invuln.

Basically what I’m getting at is all these classes have defenses that scale with the number of people attacking them.

I.e Endure Pain can absorb infinite amounts of damage whereas deathshroud has a set limit and thats it. The mobility isn’t as great as other classes too, making necros a really easy target to focus.

A necro starting without deathshroud is the worst case scenario for entering a fight because he can’t defend himself if a coordinated duo is focusing him, hense why they get deleted by bursty classes.

Don’t expect a necro to outheal the other classes too, that won’t happen. A Druid has access to lots of healing, mobility, minor stealth, and invuln if you take protect me or signet of stone.

Would you imagine if Necros started the game with full lifeforce the way druids used to start with full astral?

reapers and druids are different classes which is why they have different mechanics that don’t operate exactly the same.
