Why i don't play Stronghold
Only over hyped Quaggans like Jebor like it and PvE speed dungeon runners!
Does anyone other than premade pip farmers even Q stronghold?

I do… I love stronghold. Way more than Conquest…
I’d prefer 2v2 / 3v3, but I mean if i had to chose between the two…

Treb wont do anything to them.
There needs to be some kind of counterplay to its big damage.

I queue it to duck players I frequently see on the opposing team.
It’s an okay mode since movement feels freer than conquest where you must run towards a node and more of the space seems relevant. Sure doors and lord rooms are the most relevant but there’s more scope for kiting and escaping without a tradeoff of giving up some node.
I don’t really care for NPC’s playing a big role though.
I think stronghold is a fail tbh. Its moba like gamemode except inferior in every possible way. They should honestly just scrap this map. Atm its “no ele, no win”
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.
It’s not a fail, it just needs tweeks to how npcs react to players and the opposite.
Like the things i mentioned.
I don’t think SH is a fail, but there’s a couple key problems that keep it from being what it needs to be:
1) There’s only 1 map. Without map variety, you don’t have any prevention of map burnout like you do with Conquest.
*2) Healing, offensive rush premades are too strong. *
Here’s my 2 copper on how to fix #2:
Put a debuff on door breakers so that they receive less healing per nearby ally.
This way, a team can run split with a healer or two escorting door breakers while others defend or go somewhere else while still preventing people from zerg, face rushing everything.
Alternatively:
Buff the treb to do more damage per target it hits
This would be another similar way to get the same result.
