Ok so a friend of mine came back. He hasnt played for 2 months since he at college and he plays a sport. The amount of rage we got for the matches we were in are unreal.

After 1 match this guy started whispering non stop. I told him that he was a good player but adjusting to the builds of HOT. Would not have it, more then 1 person told us to go into unranked. UMMMMMMM NO we want to play ranked so he can gain some levels too.

We lost 1 on his thief and he switch to necro. We lost on his necro bad and he switched to ele and i gave him my build for it which is basically the meta with dagger warhorn. Seriously community take a chill pill.

Yes since they/you have to go with this situation or the old situation perse. Since your brain can only handle 2 options.

Or maybe they could come up with a better system for Leagues/seasons. Seriously this PiP system is a awful way to reward PvP players.

Taking the Leader Board off completely away says alot when its something everyone has been asking for. I post this because of 3 things

1- We deserve a real leader board and/or something that shows skilled play.

2- When people actually say sorry but you shouldnt play with your friends, we are going in the wrong direction. People on this forum need to realize just because someone is in amber/what ever rank it doesnt actually mean thats there skill level.

3- Anet needs to make these better. ESL league games among other things and current meta is such a joke and then the fact they are talking overhaul. We say how the HOT effected the game. So this is about to be epic ……..

His amber level friend lost when playing Thief and Necro, but were able to win against Diamonds/Legendary as a Tempest/Ele.

You can still play with your friends… why having the tier lowered for the higher tier was right, but rising the tier for the lower player is wrong? what is the friend issue here? you want to play with your friends or you want to take advantage? … when you decide to play with a low tier friend you shouldn’t mind playing with people of your same level, it’s you bringing a stick to a sword fight. … If it’s for the sake of playing with friends then unranked is the right option.

You have a few options, all way more productive then crying on the forums.

- Practice in Unranked, just a couple of games.
– Continue doing what you are doing, those hate tells are meaningless.
– Make an actual 4 or 5-man group.

I was gone most of the Season, just started serious play again a week ago. I find the prospect of losing “Pips” exhilarating. I’m already in Sapphire (when I left I remember people insisting everyone would be stuck in Emerald and I was only there for a week). But by all means, lets dumb down the PvP experience so your friend doesn’t get hate tells. There is salt, and a mail function, use it and move on.

When he thought about playing in some AG games Ele was the class so him moving to ele was the best choice for him. It was the most comfortable quick transition for him for us to play in ranked.

I simply bring this up because he wanted to play ranked and im not gonna tell him no. Im more telling the community to kind of back off. You whispering me isnt changing it. Telling us to go to unranked when we are not gonna go isnt gonna solve your issues with us in your match. This post was mostly of people should have a understanding that because anet wanted to kill smurf queing that this is gonna happen.

Lastly i got to legendary by solo queing about 85% of the time, divisions doesnt mean anything because my friend here is probably better then 60% of the people on this forum and the 2 best players i know are in amber and emerald because they didnt want to grind for a back pc.

All im simply asking for the people who read this and play in game dont go crazy because they see someone like myself of a high rank queing with a friend of a low rank.

It’s not really people’s fault, if ANet had a system that people had confidence in they might accept such things. But honestly ANet almost religiously create scenarios that are infuriating for anything other than a full 5 man premade on voip. So people react accordingly.

Apparently they’re putting high MMR players who should be diamond against the lower end rubies to smooth their transition to the proper bracket so I’m personally taking a break from ranked too.
