How many threads do we need to read through on this forum? Obviously there is a problem. What is taking so long to balance these 3 specs?

D/D cele ele
nade cele engineer
turret engineer

There have been countless threads that this point discussing ways to fix those issues. I do not understand why it is taking so long.

The history of balancing form arena-net has been slow at changes since release.

They say things like “Shaving” and “waiting for ppl to adapt” But they don’t understand that this isn’t something like LoL or Dota where you have tons of options and build yourself during each match, and can even build into counters. A lot of the time you get stuck in situations that are just over all crummy.

For example: If your glass there are things that you cannot kill in a timely fashion while they are sitting on point, and even worse! Things that can out pressure you at less risk (because taking 30% dmg in one attack and then healing up is always going to out match a constant stream of 10%‘s that you cannot out heal yourself.) exist and will lock you into that status quo for a game… ish I don’t count character swapping though.

We have to many inherent counter builds without the options to build into proper counters to counters mid game and thus we get a state of imbalance time and time again. Even if we consider that you build for a proper counter pregame, roll a team to cover all your basis, or even out play things at a superior level of skill there is still an inherent imbalance especially when it comes to effort in vs damage out.

Then we mask this all around how “it isn’t balanced around 1v1” which is fine and pretty legitimate… But if you didn’t have an over abundance of something really strong that takes less effort why run anything else? You’d be stupid not to, and then we get an over all less fun game because everything else is less viable with an already tiny selection.

^ That all being said, I actually think balance is the best it has been in a while. I can understand being hesitant to change it but it took way to long to get here.

It takes months/years to roll out quality of life improvements and 1 hour long living stories, don’t be so entitled! Balance changes take at least 6 months everyone knows this xD xD xD xD

Cele ele is the only viable build. Remove that and you kill the class.

Definitely not true. Condi eng works just fine. I’m sure some fellow will make another viable ele build. Cele is off the wall. Ridiculous. It caries.
