Why is stealth rez not being complained about more?

I though that u need a guardian if you want to win, they are really good holding points and making the other team waste the time. But i have to say that stealth + illusions (mesmer) is something really annoying.
2 guards 2 mesmers 1 thief, gg
But back on the point: its not complained about because its not a major issue, its just one thing stealth classes can do.
It defiantly doesn’t make them mandatory, because stealth rezzing isn’t the only form of rezzing with skills. The Engineer has Elixir S, and that’s better then stealth rezzing because you take 0 damage while rezzing unlike when you do so while stealthed. You can also quickness rez, or stability rez.
Looking for a good guild for PoF
What if you put 10 points in the zeal honor. You can pick resolute healer to shield you while you rez. Probs not enough with 4 sec duration though.

I guess its easier to counter stealth rezzing than stability/quickness rezzing… or even elixir s/mistform rezzing.
Since Thief/Mesmer don’t have stability abilitys stealth is his way of improving a rezz/finish (Mesmer also got f4).
Because too few people rez outside of tournaments? Most are just selfish and want kills, so they use stealth finishers and that is noticed.
Also, yes – both Mesmer & Thief (& Guardian) are required to win. Thesmerian Wars 2.
Why don’t people complain about mistform stomps/resurrection more often? Because no one gives half a kitten about ele’s right now. But if fotm whining centered around Ele’s, you’d probably see this exact post, but with Mistform instead of stealth.
Point being: stealth rez is not some bizarre fringe tactic. It’s one of many ways in which players can get a free rez, and most classes have some form of rez/stomp protection. And like Gelrod pointed out, in some ways it’s weaker than the others.
They should change structured pvp forums to QQ Please change the game.
The forums reached the “things to whine about” limit.

Mistform? Seriously who can cry about mistform stomp?
Be forced to use a 75s CD utility to stomp a single target and people still cry…pls find me a way to “spamm” mist form as often as stealth, especially with the broken trait which doesn’t reduce CD I wonder how the kitten people can complain about mist form…you’ve just wasted maybe your only chance to survive later to stomp a single nab…get real!
Seriously? I see it used in every tPvP match and it is basically making Thief/Mesmer mandatory to have in your team if you want to win.
You can’t be concerned ( aka whining) about serious PvP problems because you get assaulted by FOTM kids who want the game to remain as it is now, 7 times out of 10 I’m the only ele in tPvP and in over 200 matches I can say that I’ve played against another ele no more than 20 times during the Kylo map.
The problem is already obvious in sPvP:
40% are thieves
25% are mesmers/engineers
20% are guardians/rangers
10% are warriors
5% are ele/necros
And the percentages get even worst in tPvP:
35% are guardians
30% are mesmers
20% are thieves/warriors
10% are engineers
5%…are ele/necros
poison the area, point blank shot etc
use some aoe or 100b on top of it. no ressing.
Actually the issue is with classes able to CHANNEL while in stealth. Simply performing an act should break it. Period.
Not a huge issue, but it is a balance point. Everyone should be equally vulnerable when rezzing and downing other players.

Agreed with redscope. Makes sense to make yourself unstealth the moment you start to act, not the moment your action finishes.
Umm, why do i get the feeling those %s are totally wrong.
because they’re pulled out of the dudes rear. “95% of all statistics are made up on the spot” so to speak. frankly, you mention guardians in tPvP but i still haven’t met a guardian i can’t trounce without even flinching. sure there are the ones that outlive everything but what good are they really? if someone thinks that kind of playstyle is fun then ill just go to a different point and massacre the rest of their team as recompense.
also, if you don’t play necro then you’re missing out on a serious fun time. probably most imba class in game. playing against any build that sacrifices toughness you can’t lose. straight soldier guardians are the only thing that give you a run for your money.
also, stealth res? this topic is seriously about stealth res? go back to your hot joins and learn to play before complaining. :\

Just because a class is played more doesnt mean that if is necessarily more powerful, Paladin type classes, and rogue-like classes, and classes that just seem cool( read multi clone phantasms are awesome=Mesmers) are played more. Most games with class choices see domination of these classes, almost to the point they are the only selectable option presented.
Not to mention, if somone comes onto the forums and hears someone QQn about how certain classes suck and only 3 major classes are worth it, then they go " why would I play a broken class, Ill just roll what everyone says is awesome". Then somone beats them as the apparently favored class and they run to the forums to rage that someone beat their god class. So then the cycle repeats.
Unbelievable. These kiddies will not be happy until they see the Thief profession wearing crutches. Unbelievable how many are complaining about the thief in ALL subforums.
LMAO@shrewd
Um, Thieves are being complained about on every subforum?
Better get your orichalcum butt plate out and prepare for some serious hurt posts on the nerfage coming dude…cuz, Tonight…YOU

The stealth doesn’t prevent CC that doesn’t require a target. Though I am glad and actually pretty amused by what you’ve brought up.
Comparing stealth to stability is flawed.
When someone uses stability, a team has to react accordingly. When someone hits stealth, you have to start reacting to POSSIBILITIES.
People assume that it is KNOWN that a stealth stomp / res is happening. Good teams won’t do this. They will abuse the fact that you have to prepare for multiple unknown possibilities. (I might stomp, I might not)
Generally when a thief stealths, teams will act defensively. When they stealth near a downed player, what do they do? Spam AOE interupts and other shut down around the downed player? There is no guarantee the thief is even trying to stomp. In fact, if the thief isn’t the stomper, it leaves the team down interrupts when the real stomper shows up.
Stealth always functions by making teams have to react to possibilities. In this case, it is incredibly powerful for very little skill. At best, the opposition uses skills very well to deny the stomp and it breaks out even.
At worse, they react to the wrong situation and are incredibly hard done by (someone getting backstab jumped while they blow interrupts to stop a thief that isn’t stomping).
When you ask people to react to situations they cannot see, you run the risk of imbalance. When this involves sending players back to waypoints, it’s quite broken in the hands of good players.
