The elite players have had the spotlight in pvp since it launced… I realize that people want to watch the best players play the game… I have no issue with excellence… I have a beef with the announcement of the pvp challenger league vs the pro league… if you already have a professional gw2 league structrued and set up…. why is it the challenger league (a place i assumed was for us more casual guys to try our guts out and get into pro league) flooded with pro league teams queing under any team name they can type to farm points? Maybe im missing the point here… but It makes me less likely to click ranked when i know its the same guys i will see on the pro league atop the ladder. Not QQing here ankitten ot hating on any pro league teams, but I would have loved for it to be a “non” pro environment… where we can see some other ppl shine…

Yes you completalyy missed/missread.

Pro league is top 8 teams in region
Guild challenger is top 9th-12th team that will try to replace someone in ProLeague.

Its money and its not casual.
For casuals theres regular leagues with farmpoint system to grind 2.7 billion games to get legendary backpiece. You also get some guild decorations and small stuff if zoure top25,50,100 guild team

For casual torunaments theres AcademyGaming.

The several team names will be trivial probably as it matters which non-Pro team is best placed.
