Haven’t seen anything said other wise to make any change before Tuesday, so at this point I’m not even logging in to play this broken junk. Great solution to fixing ques, making choices with the game that discourage players to play.

I honestly can’t remember the last person I’ve spoke to who actually rates queues times over matchmaking itself. As for myself, I’d rather wait 20 minutes for a proper match, instead of the freaking garbage matches I’m currently being put in, while solo queueing.

I don’t think they realize how much this will discourage new players and hurt the growth of the pvp community.

Agreed. Can’t really be kitten d and log on to play the current state of the PvP.

same here, not gonna play it til it’s fixed. too bad experiences, not fun at all when being farmed. I started thinking if I was getting really old and couldn’t play video games before I checked this forum yesterday. I am not alone.

I played last night for about four hours. I’ve played since launch but predominantly do WvW roaming. However, I’ve played enough to hit rank 50 in sPvP.

Someone enlighten me. What’s wrong with the matchmaking?

lopsided matches from solo qr’s being matched vs team qr’s which the matchmaking system was supposed to prevent from happening. But some dev turned the feature off to stop that because he wasn’t going to be available to adjust qs for the weekend or something to that effect. So this weekend is a team q farming on solo q event weekend apparently.

Gotcha. I had noticed that I got put against a guild group several times. To be honest though I had a freakin ballin fun time. I lost like 70% of the matches I played but heck. I don’t give a crap as long as it’s fun. But I guess it should get fixed because I understand most people want balanced, fair matches. Even I would get sick of unfair play after long enough I suppose.

Matchmaking is pretty underwhelming atm. Soloq consist of players with very little experience, once in a while I’ll get someone I know or that is decent. On the other hand when I do premades, we just roll everyone 500-50, which isn’t fun either.

I’ve been playing little pvp the last couple of days because of this. Hopefully things get better with the 16th patch.

When Justin is on duty he turns on stricter matching and the matches even out, the queues get longer for players of high MMR and to some extent very low MMR. If they get too long, he sets it to start “mixing brackets”.

If Justin works tonight I would expect he’ll do that again.

Qued a a duo, was paired with another duo, and a solo quer. So my team split was 2-2-1.

Look what the matchmaking gave us after like 10 seconds in que.

What’s wrong exactly?

Is it only ranked people are having problems with or unranked too? I’ve been doing unranked since everytime i try to q for ranked it takes 15 minutes for a game and the games have been pretty even. We even won a 4v5.

Matchmaking gets pretty good when Justin raises the minimum acceptable matching score.

Queue times get long for top players, but average players tend to have good to great matches.

Justin stated that he has to monitor the wait times and lower the minimum acceptable match score if the queues get too long. If he is on duty this weekend, he said he can do this again (in an earlier thread).

By the 16th, the monitoring will be automatic and will not require Justin to baby sit things.

Nah. The matchmaking is fine when Justin manually adjusts it to be strict.

It is still much worse than it was before the update.

No it isn’t. There is a lot more that goes into the matchmaking now. Take a look at his wiki page that explains it in more detail.

Besides the fact that before patch solo wasn’t being matched up against teams.

Either the matchmaking is really bad with considering group comps as they didn’t have any mesmers or any warriors or I was up against a premade.
