okay.. This is just hopeless. Probably most people who wanted the feature didn’t even buy the game. I’m just out of this discussion then.

Well, what about an invasion system like Dark Souls?

You give PvE players the chance of getting into a Fractal/dungeon mode with higher rewards (it shouldn’t have nothing that can’t be acquired elsewher, but it should have more of it). But they have the chance of getting invaded by other players.

Invaders have to get into invading queue through the heart of the mists, and a random party of 5 will invade the dungeon. If they manage to stomp the invaded players, they earn something.

Here are some rules that could work:

-Invaders will invade using pvp gear, traits and skills. This means they’ll have lower stats and overall less choice than the invaded. The instance should not be too much gear demanding (i.e.: requires the players to play a certain build/use certain type gear in order to clear it) or time consuming.

-Mobs will not attack invaders. (or they might, not sure about this one)

-Players in the fractal can’t be invaded if they are fighting a boss or in certain other dangerous areas. If they get invaded, they can’t gain acces to the boss until the fight is over.

-(optional) Invaders will have a time limit to defeat the opponents. If the fight isn’t over before the timer goes to 0, invaders will be teleported away. They will be rewarded for each opponent defeated. By this way, you should be able to counter trolling attempts with bunker by either sides.

-The instance can be invaded only a certain amount of times.

This would make many people happy: you won’t be forced to play it, but you’ll be able to play pve with the thrill of impending pvp. You’ll give purpose to pvp (as of now, it looks more like a minigame than part of gameplay) and you’ll have a chance to make it work with lore (am I wrong, or are the mists some sort of no man’s land?).

You will never be able to know what an engineer is going to do next…

I would Love Open world PvP.
some rules though (I take the rules form a different game called Dekaron which is almost all open world pvp/pk)

simple mechanic, Hold ctl or another key to be able to attack another player. if you dont your attacks will just be like normal attacks which will only hit mobs.

1. if you attack an afk player you will get but into battle but the afk player will not until he attacks. if you kill an afk player or a player that wont fight back you will get a penalty (no use of waypoints and all Players will be able to attack/kill you without doing into battle) this will last 5m per afk player killed.

2. Guilds - No friendly fire between guild mates!!! Guilds will actually mean something woot!
Maybe add an option for Guild alliances. Same no friendly fire applies to allies.

3. Party members will be the same as a guild, no friendly fire between party members.
